Host Airport Hotel, Sacramento

This hotel is NOT in Sacramento, it is in Ireland. Somehow, it has the same address as the old Host hotel at the airport, but that hotel is closed due to construction at the airport. If you are trying to book a hotel at the Sacramento Airport, the airport's website gives a list of hotels with free shuttles to the airport.

I have heard many bad things about this hotel, but when I actaully went to stay there for my flight out, i had a great time. the staff there were friendly, and the room was better than what i would have imagine. its not new, yet not old either. i would probably say, its in the between. I love the location of the hotel and they even had a bellman help take me across the street in the morning, due to i just had leg surgery. i love it and truely would stay there again.

If you are looking to sleep-in a little bit before your early morning flight, than this place is for you! It is located right across the street from terminal "B" (not "A" as stated in other reviews). The shuttle buses stop right out front of the main door. If you have to return a rental car, they take you right to the hotel. They do offer some amenities; such as free Wi-Fi, Hot Tub, and continental breakfast. The down side is what you get for the price. The hotel is not any better than your average Super 8 Motel. They offer free coffee in your room. The coffee maker is conveniently located in the bathroom with a bottle of water. There are two things that this place offers that no other hotel in the area can; convenience of location and an underground tunnel to get to terminal "B" during bad weather. It cost me $150 for one room for one night with a king size bed. If it were not for the convenience of the hotel's location, for the price, I would have stayed someplace nicer.

they don't take pets. So if you are flying out with a cat or dog, don't plan on staying here. blah blah blah blah blah

The hotel is very convenient and located 50 yards from Terminal A. If you are a guest before or after your plane trip, you are allowed to park at the hotel at a nominal cost. Free continental breakfast. If you don't like that, right across the street in Term A is Chile's, a full service restaurant. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms facing Terminal A can be noisy. The bathroom and linen are clean, but the grout needs work. I would stay here again.

I have stayed here twice now. The first time I wasn't too impressed as the room was not much to write home about for the price. I stayed a second time simply because it's the only place that makes any sense when you have an early morning flight. The second stay I spent a little more money and stayed in the American room, it was HUGE. Very clean, fairly updated. Not a 4 star place, but it's fine for a night before a flight.

I don't know if it was the cheap furniture and disgusting bed linens, or if it was the scary bug in the bathtub, but I was frightened when I walked in. Then the kids were still yelling and screaming outside at midnight, and I could hear cartoons through the wall most of the night. To make the place even scarier, at 2 AM, the sheriff's department was pounding on the door upstairs, telling them to come out, or they would break the door down. Perhaps if my income was derived from illegal sources, this is a place I would chose to frequent. However it was to scary for me to return without my Kevlar.
