Don't waste your time.
By ,
Stayed at this Courtyard because the Liberty Station one was booked. Touted as a "Brand new hotel!" but it wasn't, they bought it from a different chain and put Courtyard on the outside. I walked in past three guests standing outside the front door chain-smoking, that was disgusting to walk through. Then they gave me my room, took the slowest elevator ever up to find that someone else was in that room already. The insides of the elevator cars are missing buttons and coverings for the arrows etc. Finally got my room straightened out, on the second floor so took the stairs. Although the stairwell smelled like fresh paint, I have no idea where it was. Every wall was dirty and scuffed up. The furnishings in the room were standard, the drawers didn't close and the shower didn't drain very well. Otherwise the room was acceptable. The fitness center was fine, I didn't try the dining facilities. The staff was friendly and helpful. No one mentioned the daily parking fee of $14, it just appeared on my bill. Yes, that's FOURTEEN dollars per day. It was easy enough to get to and would be fine for an overnight. I was here for a week, and will be in town a lot, and if the Liberty Station Courtyard isn't available I'll stay at a Residence or something else other than the Mission Valley Hotel Circle Courtyard. This hotel just falls very short of what I expect from Marriott.

Great stay !
By ,
We loved the central location, and ease of getting to sightseeing locations we wanted. Front desk very helpful in offering printed directions to key locations. From staff member Mo, at check in, till our departure in 3 days, we loved every moment of the stay. The room was spotless and comfortable. Lobby bar and eating area very convenient, tasty, and a good value. Customer service, and attention to detail in all respects. The only negative, in my opinion, was the daily parking fee of $16.00. But we took it in stride, and didn't let it spoil our mini vacation. By the way, fitness center was very nice, modern, and clean. I would love to stay there again, and hope to in the future.

Unfortunate issues ruined an otherwise good stay.
By ,
Nice hotel, nice location. For the money however, I am disappointed due to: broken sink upon arrival to room, "complimentary coffee"= 1 single cup (I booked the room for four), the room was almost $200 and they charge you $14 per day to park in the parking lot (are you kidding me???), check-out time is 12:00, but your access keys will stop working at 9:00 AM (I had two cards, both stopped working at 9:00 and we got locked out of the hotel from the pool), finally- the bill that was given me says $249.05, but the hotel apparently chose to round it off to $250 which is what the bank transaction states. It really is too bad and I will not stay there again.

Good place to stay for business not a vacation.
By ,
My family liked the location, staff, gym, washer/dryer, and it was clean. What we didn't like was the parking fees, tight rooms, small pool and jacuzzi.

We can;t wait to go back.

Likes; Could not ask for a better place to stay why: Recently Redone Rooms were great. Service was great - called front desk on 3 separate occasions and had requested service within 5 minuties. Great location - close to everything. Will definitely stay there again when we go back to San Diego.. DW from Georgetown Texas

oversite greatly effected our stay
By ,
The hotel has many plus points. Like it is convient and close to everything. There is a nice pool ( never had towels , always, "just ran out") and Hot tub. Room service and nice bar and buffet for breakfast. that was the good stuff. We were traveling with our 4 and 6 yr old. Our 4 yr old was putting her clothes in the drawer and found the jackets to two male gay porn movies. Very explicit detail. It took 3 days for the hotel to "make right" as we were prepaid on line and had little choice but stay. They did end up waiving our $12.00 a day parking for the 4 days and about $65.00 that we had charged to our room in dining/lounge. But the prinicpal was a housekeeping oversite. They were apologetic, but slow in trying to rectify the situation. Too many chiefs, not enough indians.Otherwise, the only complaint would be a little bleach in the bathroom (shower corners) For over $100.00 per night, it sould be CLEAN Finally, the internet is not free, Just nights before everything I got in Vegas was free (internet, parking, ) not this place. Pay for everything...

Convenient and good price
By ,
This hotel is right off route8 and is very convenient to the attractions. The room was clean and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was good and a good value. It was a nice hotel, not extravagant, not too low-budget.

not bad, not great either...
By ,
Right off the bat, my main complaints are that you have to pay $10.00 per day for parking, and the high speed internet service costs $10.00 for use til the next day at 12:00 noon. Other hotels on the same street have free parking, and free internet. I booked my stay online, and did not find this out until after I booked, so there was nothing I could do about it. That being said, everything else was fine. The bed wasn't too hard, and the pillows were great...very fluffy and 4 per bed! The staff was quick at getting us checked in, the room service was very speedy with our breakfast in the morning and they were friendly too. House keeping did a nice job, so no complaints there. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Minutes from all freeways, Sea World, the zoo, downtown and shopping. Would I stay there again? Maybe....I do intend to try the places that don't charge for parking and internet. If you're planning on staying in the hotel circle area, check out Kelly's Steakhouse right down the street, it's fabulous!!! I hope this review helps you.
