Adequate
By Law B, 3/11/09
I stayed here twice during the month of March. While the hotel provided adequate lodging both times, it is unlikely that I will return . My rooms both times were located on the thirteenth floor. I do give this chain credit for not pretending this number does not exist. The rooms were large and quiet--although I gathered from other lodgers that this was not the case on lower floors. My rooms featured a king sized bed and a flat screen tv, a comfortable desk and a chair and ottoman. The decor was standard bland beige with a very attractive mural of the Golden Gate bridge over the bed and a pedestrian rendering of the same bridge on the wall. The bed was a tad too soft for my taste but the room had a coffee maker with actually some tasty coffee. The bathroom was bright and clean but the toilet was too close to the tub. The drain on the shower was very slow in both rooms. On the plus side, they do feature complimentary Bliss products for the bath. While the on site restaurant is convenient, the food is unrewarding and the service slow but pleasant. The gift shop is small, understocked and over priced. There is a free airport shuttle but you must make a reservation if you are going to need it during the early morning hours (from 1 a.m. to 6a.m.) I was annoyed by certain representations that were not totally accurate. For instance, I was told there was free internet in the rooms. That was not true. There is fee based internet available in rooms but the free internet is in the lobby. (There are also two complimentary computers and printers) The hotel also touted free valet parking which also was not quite right. The valet was free the parking was eighteen dollars. The front desk service was uneven. The night I arrived, the young woman was friendly and helpful. The other times, the staff seemed harried and could offer no suggestions about tours or sightseeing. This was particularly surprising since a beautiful trail by the bay is available for hiking or walking. Moreover, one of the elevators was broken on my floor when I arrived. It was still not operable ten days later when I returned. So while my stay was adequate, it did not justify the expense and I will try somewhere else next time I visit.

Near SFO and Better Than Staying in Downtown Frisco
By DENNIS PIERCE, 2/21/07
We didn't see any bums or homeless. Very nice area. If you must go into Downtown Frisco, rent a car since it's not that far away from Burlingame. SFO is nearby. This location is very concenient.

Great Service, but DIRTY pool
By palango, 6/27/06
Parking costs $13 per day if you are a guest. The pool area was absolutely FILTHY. I mean I have seen cleaner pools at Motel 6. They do not monitor or check the pool area or water on regular basis. There was dust everywhere and the pool water did not look clean.

Overall A Very Nice Hotel
By Z, 4/10/06
Likes: Location-extremely close to airport yet very quiet inside. Clerks were fine--professional (not too friendly, not rude, not chatty). Bar service was excellent but martinis were gimpy and a little weak for the price (about $15 for 2 smallish martinis). Restaurant service was excellent but I believe my 'baked' potato was 'microwaved'--steaming hot and not quite done. But the prime rib was just fine. Nice small fitness center, and small indoor pool on 2nd floor (we didn't use either but they looked acceptable). Also close to other dining in parklike setting on the Bay. Dislikes: $13/night to park at the hotel--it wasn't advertised when I made reservations, but there it was at check-in! At your own hotel! Grrr. Internet connection was a plus--until I was rushed in the morning and it would not connect and I didn't have time to call for technical help. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 on the cleanliness is because I'm a bath person and I had to fish out a couple hairs that didn't belong to us in the tub. But that was fairly painless--hair happens. Overall, I loved this hotel and will stay again--despite the rude parking fee. It was quiet, wonderful for adults without kids. I noticed more business people and foreign tourists than families--which was a plus for quiet couple time. I think my hometown should charge San Franciscans outrageous parking fees when they come to my town--what a money maker! $18 for a few hours at the wharf, $13 to park at your hotel. Oh well--I love San Francisco! Hint: make sure upon check-in you get what your ordered. I reserved non-smoking, king bed on concierge level and clerk tried to put me in a room with two double-beds. Two normal sized people can NOT sleep comfortably in a double bed. But, she did manage to put us in the king room as requested. The bed and pillows were very, very comfortable.

Great Hotel for the money!
By Shanna Crabtree, 3/7/06
I really liked the bed, it was very comfortable. Also our room was very large and spacious and clean. The lady at the front desk was very rude and seemed to be impatient with everyone she helped but other then that this is a very nice hotel. We will stay here again for sure.

excellent hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/3/06
I would stay there again when in San Francisco. Our room was ready when we arrived from Los Angeles at 9:30 in the morning after a long flight from Maui!

Nightmare experience
By Crash, 6/2/05
The day we moved in, there was a party going on in the lobby reception area. The music was really loud even on the 4th floor at 1:00 am in the morning. When we complained they offered to transfer us to a different room. When we tried to open the room, it was already occuppied! We had to sleep in our original room through the racket. The next morning the front desk was full of disgruntled sleepless guests. The hotel did nothing to compensate for the horrible experience.
