Highland Gardens Hotel, Hollywood

This place is filthy. Service is lousy, it's noisy. Just disgusting. You won't get any sleep. Beds are old, old mattresses and you can feel the springs. Do not stay here!

Likes :- perfectly positioned if you want to view the walk of fame or the chinese theatre. internet access dislikes :- this is a tired, scruffy old building which doubles as student accommodation. there is no elevator and no help with baggage and the room we were given was truly awful with dirty, worn carpets particularly under the bed, no sink stopper, missing floor tiles in bathroom and an abundance of mouldy badly grouted tiles. the furniture was badly marked,the seats were filthy as was the curtains. Door to balcony did not close properly and the air conditioning made it almost impossible to sleep due to noise. What lights there were in the room were cheap, nasty and did not work properly. I could go on but to sum it all up do not use this hotel except as a last resort. Scuffy and tired we can forgive but dirty rooms and extremely dodgy electrics we cannot. We would have spent three times the amount to have avoided this place
