Not for business folks watching their $$$$

Nice hotel but not for the business person. Charges for parking, room internet access, access to hotel computer with printer for boarding pass and forget about any kind of free morning breakfast. Expect to pay $10 - $15 for a meager breakfast. Older hotel but fairly well maintained. Check other hotels on North & South Hotel Circle.

One Happy Customer

I loved everything about the hotel. It was private, quiet and condusive to romance. It was close to where we needed to be. Overall the experience was fantastic the room was clean, well appointed and the staff was pleasant. I only used the services of the coffee shop but I am sure that I would have been pleased in the restaurant. I manage a hotel of my own and being extremely critical of all the hotels I stay in I had no issues with this one except to say .......I was on vacation & I gave my critical thoughts a vacation too. Loved it!

would stay there anytime

i've been to a lot of hotels in hotel circle this was by far the best one for the price the room was realy clean nice staff . in making my reservation i asked for a room on the third floor facing the pool and they put me right there. checkin time 4pm we happend to arive at 12noon they said if we wanted to we could have the room right now .cool more time for shopping. im looking forward to using this hotel for all my stays in san diego thanks

Wonderful Atmosphere

I loved my whole stay. Check in was a little slow, but we had a pretty big convention. My room was very clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Beautiful place to stay.

I was such a great location to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and Mission Beach. All the reasons why we went to California. Had a hard time finding places to eat at, until we discovered Rosecrans St. That is the place to go for food and for drug stores. The Hotel was very clean, and it was wonderful to know that the rooms look just like the picture on the website. We loved it, and I can't wait to go back! Oh, and I can't forget the atmosphere. All of the waterfalls were wonderful. Very green and lush.

Little Piece of Hawaii

This place was AWESOME! The tropical decor was very nice...not over-done or cheesy. My son loved the hotel almost as much as the places we went to see. Location was great, was very easy to get to all the local attractions...the front desk even had a pre-printed guide with directions to and from Sea World, Zoo and the beach etc.!! If you want economy prices, go to a Super 8. If you want to hob knob with snobby euro- dufusses, go to the Omni. This place is exactly what it describes itself to be!

helpful staff

we stayed here by default for one night when our pre booked and paid for room at our hotel (The Handlery) had no room for us! The Red Lion accommodation block had a "prisoner cell block H" feel to it. the pool is not as the picture as it has a metal bar fence all the way around it - not at all glamourous. However, the staff were very helpful following day in transporting us back to the Handlery after the Handlery failed tom send their shuttle bus as 3 phone calls.

Peaceful and Relaxing

I loved this hotel. Stayed one night, but wished I could have stayed longer. I will definitely stay again when I visit San Diego. My room had a balcony with table and chairs and the waterfalls and foliage were beautiful! Very peaceful and relaxing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A plus for me was the hotel shuttle to the Old Town Trolley station which took me to Petco Park for a Padre game. Nice pool and bar.
