Uck!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/07
It was icky. Dirty. Steps away from the beach...ha ha. It is dumpy, smelly, and not at all as described. Don't waste your money - stay elsewhere. Cayucos has a handful of other motels that are clean and closer to the water.

Wonderful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/05
This motel is great it is clean, it has an excellent service and location. The ocean is across street. There are a lot of friendly people. Video rentals next door. And best of all it's the center of town.

Worst place in Cayucos!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/05
Overcharged, dirty, smelly, electricity kept going off, no hot water, noisy, not a short walk to pier, beach is not steps away, not a good location and is grossly misrepresented. I don't know how this hotel got a approval from AAA, unless they don't really go to their hotels and see what they are like. Very, very disappointing but did learn a valuable lesson, don't go off ratings, make sure to pay attention to reviews and we spent most of our time in Cayucos finding the right hotel to stay at for our next visit.

Overall Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/05
The amount quoted for the room was 129.00 we were charged 161.00. The room was suppose to accomadate 4 but there was a king size bed with a twin bed and a pull out trendel bed underneath. The room was very dirty!! The sheets were dirty, and there were durty clothes left in the room. There were not enough towels for 4 and when asked they still did not bring enough. We asked for a late check out and they continued to try and clean the room. Our overall experience was not pleasant and I would recommend finding a better motel.

Warning! Don't stay at the Estero Bay Hotel.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/05
First of all, the description of this place is very misleading. It's not steps from the beach and the walk to the pier is quite a ways. When I first called to make a reservation, I was told one price and then charged another higher when I arrived. I had planned on staying 3 nights but after seeing the hotel, I didn't even want to spend one second in it let alone 3 nights. I was stuck for the first night, they had my credit card and I was shocked when I checked in (thinking I would endure one night in this dirty, disgusting place), I was charged for 3 nights. I immediately looked for another place to stay but no other rooms were available for that night. And they had my credit card number. Feeling trapped in this place, I told the front desk that we would only be staying two nights and would never return. I was then charged extra for the two nights plus a "handling fee". Plus charged for local phone calls. Okay, now to what happened at the hotel. The rooms were dirty...floors sticky, rugs filthy. No hot water and the electricity went off when ever we plugged in the blow dryer. I strongly recommend against anyone ever staying there, even if you are desperate for a room. Better off sleeping in your car.
