Embassy Suites Napa Valley, Napa

When I got to the Embassy Suites, the room I got was right next to the freeway, and was a bit too loud for me. I called the front desk and they were more than willing to change my room to a more quiet area. My room was beautiful, quiet and very cozy. The atrium outside my room was so much better than I though it would be, they have real swans and ducks hanging out in the little river! I was so taken back by how gorgeous it was. I ordered room service for dinner, and have to admit that it wasn't the best, but it was ok. The breakfast however is really good! They advertise made to order breakfast which I figured would be just omelets or something along those lines, but it was pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs, omelets, and the normal stuff like muffins, fruit, bread, cereal and lots of other yummy stuff. I was so pleased that I had a REAL breakfast and it was really yummy. Everyone that I spoke to that worked at ES was really nice and pleasant. I would for sure stay here again without hesitation, and would recommend it to a friend as well.

The rates that are being charged for this hotel are exorbitant for what you get. When you stay here, you are mostly paying for the location instead of the actual hotel. It is convenient to the Napa wineries and most are a very short drive away. The hotel is a sprawling complex with beautifully landscaped inner courtyards and grounds, and they even have a goose pond. Mature landscaping gives a lush look to the exterior of the property. There is ample free outdoor parking. The hotel feels old and appears to have been only partially renovated. The bedding is in great shape, but the furniture looks a little worn and outdated. The rooms have the feel of a country inn, with charming bedding and decor. The rooms actually are suites, with a separate sitting area with a large sofa, chair, dining table, television, and a nice wet bar with a mini refrigerator, microwave, sink and coffee maker. The bathroom felt tiny and had pocket doors to make the space feel bigger. The bedroom portion of the suite had a new flat screen t.v. and plenty of drawer space. The room even had a cute stuffed teddy bear in the room to keep you company. You could "adopt" the bear and take him home for a fee, of course. If you are sensitive to highway noise, you may not have a very restful night at this hotel. The bedrooms are positioned toward the parking lot, which is a hedge away from a very busy highway (see photos). The complimentary breakfast is disgusting, and there are 4 times as many people trying to eat as there are tables at which to sit. It is a zoo and is very unpleasant. The front desk staff was less than pleasant as well. Be prepared to walk and walk and walk to your room. Since this hotel is spread out over several buildings, you may have to walk outside to get between your room and the front desk, parking lot or restaurant (not fun during inclement weather). My biggest problem with this hotel is also my #1 traveling pet peeve - when hotels shut off the a/c to the ENTIRE building if they deem it "cool" enough outside, rendering your individual room a/c controls useless. BEWARE - THIS HOTEL SHUTS OFF THE AIR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. I have trouble sleeping when it is warm, and I have spent several unpleasant nights at this hotel, just waiting for the air to come back on at 8 am. It is ridiculous. Since when are we, as customers, paying to stay in a non air conditioned room? If you stay at this property, please pack your own fan to at least keep the air circulating. Forget about opening the sliding glass door for air because the road noise will keep you up all night.

We enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites in Napa Valley. We have a 10 y/o and 3 y/o, the suite was spacious. The breakfast in the mornings were excellent. Good variety. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, we used the indoor pool, Napa is a bit cool in March. The evening Manager's reception is great, the outdoor patio has a good seating area along with very nice landscaping. There are 4 swans and koi fish in the pond.

Well located, excellent service, minutes away from wineries and fine dining. With a very relaxing atmosphere. Close to downtown area. Good food and accesible to wine tasting tours.

We stayed at this hotel because of its reasonable price and its proximity to the French Laundry. The rooms are reasonably sized, but it's not exactly a luxury hotel. The nice thing is that they do have a pair of beautiful swans in the courtyard pond, which is pretty cute.

QUALITY ROOMS WITH EXCELLENT FEATURES, GREAT SURROUNDINGS, CLEANLINESS, AND SERVICE PROVIDED BY ENTIRE STAFF. FOR WHAT THE HOTEL OFFERS FOR THE PRICE IT IS WELL WORTH THE STAY. WOULD RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

For one thing the price is too high.I paid $265.00 per night. Next time I would rather stay in a spa/resort. This wasn't. They had a sauna with tampons & kotex underneath the seat. Very unhealthy. I had a in room massage from an outside company, very good massage. No mineral bath pool, no in house massage/facial/mud bath. Out of the way in Napa.Only close to outlet malls, no close restaurants.

The real advantage of staying in the Napa Valley Embassy Suites is the convenient access coming in and out of Napa. The valley's main attractions are located to the North of the region but this hotel's southern location actually makes it easier to find and keeps it away from most of the traffic and congestion for arrival and departure. There is also easy access to other popular surrounding areas such as Carneros, Santa Rosa and Sonoma. The service is solid and within usual Embassy Suites standards. This is a 3 story sprawling floor plan with in door and outdoor pool areas, a steam room, restaurant and beautiful full bar. Embassy Suites always provides separate living room and small bar in each suite. The complementary breakfast and happy hour are great amenities but the quality is not inline with the other top locations in the chain. Don't make reservations at the Embassy Suites Napa if you are expecting views out over the sprawling vineyards and hills of the famous valley. The Embassy's southern location means easy access for travelers but the site is still in Napa's city limits--several miles from the sprawling acres of vines. All in all this is a great starting point for an exploration of all that Napa has to offer. New visitors will appreciate many of the hotel's conveniences. Visitors that are more familiar with the valley may prefer the charming intricacies of a B&B or one of Napa's spectacular resorts.

Giant, clean rooms. Tons of space if you have kids with you. Free cocktails in the evening and nice REAL(not a doughnut and a glass of juice) breakfast in the morning. The grounds are beautiful and there's tons of parking. Staff is attentive and friendly. P.S. Eat at Tra Vigne!!
