Coast Village Inn, Montecito

The room was very clean and in good condition for an older hotel. Loved the view of the trees and hearing birds singing in the morning. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to all our needs and questions. Restaurant food was good and not overpriced. Cozy, private, romantic, rustic traditional environment. We can't wait to go back to this peaceful hideaway close to all that Santa Barbara has to offer.

I didn't dislike a thing about it.The service was wonderful. We enjoyed the clean room,and clean pool. It was very convenient to the city zoo, and many shops. A quick 10 minute easy walk to the beach ( which we did with our 2yr old granddaughter) When we come back to Santa Barbara we will stay here again!!!

(Rating relative to price) We spent several nights here in March. The place is older,but has had minor updating to make it comfortable. It was kept very clean and the staff was friendly. If you are looking to stay in a beautiful area of town at a budget price this is the place.We were traveling with our children so for us finding a place that was clean and safe with decent clientel was important to us. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Santa Barbara unless we decided to spend a lot more money. The walk to Butterfly beach was a little longer than we thought it would be, but it was a pleasant walk. The Inn's outdoor pool was kept comfortably warm and extremely clean. Peabodys restaurant had a nice continental breakfast. The service was pleasant, and they had good food reasonably priced .

This place is a DUMP! These people that say it's nice, DO not know what they are talking about. If you are going to Montecito, you have to have some level of class. This hotel doesn't have any. Paint chips, tile cracked, 10x10 cells. Anyone walking by the hotel you can hear, the rooms are paper thin. DON"T STAY HERE. It's better to stay in Santa Barbara and drive to Montecito. They give you a coupon for Continental Breakfast at the rest. below and you get there, and they have run out, so they give you a stale old crossiant and a warm piece of melon. YUM! The only thing good about this place is the location. The place is completely dirty and run down. Don't waste your money! Also, plan to get burned taking a shower, if your neighbor happens to flush while you are in shower, watch out! We were burned 3 times.

This was not a nice hotel, the carpet was dirty, the windows are so old they barely opened and closed and the decor is from the eighties. This hotel needs a serious update. I stayed here based on the reviews, but I am giving an honest review.

Great location and walking distance to excelent restaurants. Small Cozy hotel, very discret and clean. The best deal in Montecito. I will be back for sure.

Small and Cozy Inn , well locate in the heart of Montecito,just a few steps away of unbelivable shopping and dinning.Very clean and friendly. I recommend.

Our toilet never did work right. The first morning of our stay, when the toilet overflowed at 5:30 in the morning, there was no one on duty to take care of it and I had to walk down to Starbucks to use the bathroom. The second day of the stay, although a plumber had, supposedly, worked on the toilet, I had to use the toilet by the swimming pool. $169 is pretty pricey for a room without a working bathroom!
