Valley Inn, Mission Hills

When we pulled up to the hotel, it was nice in the front. I went inside to the front desk, it seemed really nice. It was 2:45pm, and my room was not ready. Check in is at 2:00pm, my room should have been ready. We had left Magic Mountain because it was 112 degrees, and wanted to take a break from the heat and go swimming. My family went to the pool area, I met them out there. When I came out they all were yelling that there were cockroaches everywhere. So I began to walk around and look, as they said there were so many of them the maids had a bag full of them. She was coming out of a room with them. I went into the "Family" suite and was looking as the maid was STILL cleaning it. The wall were broken, the couch bed was ripped to shreds, there were roaches everywhere. The back of the hotel, where all the rooms are, was disgusting. It was worse than a motel six. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE BUGS, NASTY DIRTINESS, AND A DIRTY SALTY BUG INFESTED POOL!!! Seriously no hotel site should have this on there list. I rate this hotel at a MINUS 0!!!

The surrounding area is nice and it has a nice outdoor pool. The room was OK at best and the beds are uncomfortable. Also the TV was old and small.

This place is not only shady, its an outright dangerous false advertisement. When we pulled up, I thought, what the heck, its late and Im tired from a 5+ hour drive. My wife checked us in, I observed some party type activity in the rooms with patios and balconies that were opened up and were viewable from the parking lot. Its a Tuesday, not a Fri or Sat where this would seem normal. It seemed questionable. Once checked in, I looked at the map to our room and drove around the back to park closest to our room. Again, I noticed activity that was now beyond questionable, but quite clearly illegal. I went into our room, never even put my luggage down, looked at my wife and kids and said "No way are we staying here", The room was old, the locks on the doors were less than secure, which raises the immediate question as to "What goes on in this place? Why have the locks obviously been replaced more than an upgrade, but a repaired from being broken?" This place was not safe, not secure for even your belongings, but down right dangerous. There is quite evidently illegal activities going on. We quickly got back into the car, and went back to the front where the gal at the front desk attempted to argue that this was a quiet and safe place, to which I calmly said, " You know more than I do what goes on here, and I dont think you want me to call the police and concern the people that stay here on a constant basis and disrupt the obvious illegal business that is going on here." Only after this, did she agree to refund our Credit Card. I would have left and taken it up with my Credit Card Co. before risking my families safety at this place. I even would have eaten the $100 for my life and and families was worth much more than staying at this place. My wife booked it based on the pictures from their website. Only after we got to another hotel, did I view the website and agree with my wife, the website is awesome, place looks nice, resort like. We paid $98 for our room, and got a room at the Marriott for $115. I would expect something like this if the room was $60-70 a night, but for $90 plus tax, you expect a decent, safe environment. This place is truly truly the worst hotel I have ever experienced. You have been informed.

Be Warned, Nothing like the pictures on their website. This place is a total scam. We didnt even stay for fear of our families safety. I have a young girl and I would rather sleep in my car then stay at this place. Yes there is prostitution going on in the rear of the hotel and not the pretty vegas type. I would like to express that whomever took and clearly edited the pics for the website did a wonderful job, this place looks very nice on the web. Totally different once you arrive. I would advise doing a googlemaps street view for a more reliable image. Even then, this is one of the places you would expect to find on the edge of every town. When we arrived and went to unload at our room, I was asked by a man walking around "What did I need for my party to get it kicken off". This was at 9:30PM and I immediately went to the room and told my wife and daughter we are not staying here. The Staff knows whats going on and they are liars if they say otherwise. I am not a picky person, but as a father, I will not put my family in danger, this place is not a safe environment for anyone.

this is my favorite hotel. Its also is the biggest one i been to. The staff was very friendly even though we arrived at 11 P.M. All the counter and the carpet were very clean. It smelled very good. It was my best experience.

The staff had excellent customer service from the first person I talked to until the last. The rooms (we had 8 booked in our party) were clean and well-stocked with all the things we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool is huge and was VERY clean. We were staying there for a baseball tourney so it was great that every room had a personal refrigerator, there was a well-stocked vending room and a full-service laundry room, too! From the street this place doesn't look like much, but the courtyard is actually very nicely landscaped with the pool in the middle. Staff was very family-friendly which was a HUGE bonus for all of us. Great place if you are in town as a family and want something clean and affordable but don't need a 5-Star hotel.

My room had a giant rat! Where there is one, there is many more! I didn't even get to spend the night because this happened soon after check-in. They had the nerve to charge me for a half stay when I didn't even sleep there. Worst experience ever.
