Alhambra Inn, Alhambra

Stayed at this place for business a few times. The rooms are good for the price and its clean and pretty quiet. The front desk clerks are very helpfup!

i loved it there.. people were nice and there prices are cheap... and it is around everything.. and most of all TOPS JR :) thats why me and my boyfriend love to stay there when we visit...oh and its not noisey at all just dont get a room right on main... duh.. lol

I like the hotel, it is old and there have been water leeks (I could see a lot of water damage on the ceiling, the rooms are large & pretty nice, it is in a good location, right next to WalGreens. The people working here are nice but something strange is going on here, the maids and guest RIGHT NEXT to us slam the doors really loudly. One of the doors seems as if it is "Jimmy Rigged" to shut loudly and the guest ;) (maybe friends of the employees?) ;), maids etc. shut the doors loudly right next to us. They seem to be deliberately directing loud noises toward us, it seems as if they are threatening us (the noises seem threatening) or they want to steal from us & they want us to leave, I am not sure. What is strange is I do not hear any other doors slamming only the 2 right next to us an the one across from us. I do not know what to do about it especially since the maids seem to be slamming the doors the most (I think the employees are involved). There are a lot of Asians here too, (Asian design, figures breakfast etc.) the employees seem nice, we got a great rate but something is definitely going on here. The maids and some Asian guest seem to be harassing us and deliberately disturbing the peace of the guest, I think they are trying to intimidate or scare us for some reason, very strange. I feel like they want us to give them something, come into our room, affect us in some way or they want us to be afraid of them to impress their friends, it does not seem is if they are here to enjoy the attractions etc. not too sure. I get the feeling that they are here just to harass, disturb & keep us from sleeping etc. I hope I do not have to stay here again. The breakfast is Asian, steamed rice floating in water, peanuts, something green (looks like thinly sliced string beans) and something yellow (looks like pineapple?) don't expected a great breakfast bring your own or go out. They have soda machines, candy & chips .75 and an ice machine, a washer and dryer for guest, that is great. The people at the desk, maids and in the gift shop are really nice but I think they are all involved in deliberately creating really loud noises really close to guest so they can't sleep, some maids try to startle guest by making really loud noises close to them from the room next door, it seems as if they want to steal something or cause a problem, argument or fight. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you are childless and do not need to sleep much etc. I would not stay at the Alhambra Inn if you have children, I think they are trying to keep my children from sleeping, maybe they want to kidnap children. I am not sure but who would wake up a sleeping child? Who would try to keep a child from sleeping? Strange. If you enjoy other people creating really loud noises, really close to you while you are trying to sleep, if you enjoy staying awake, or if you like other people to control when you and your children sleep, if you enjoy people making extremely loud noises really close to you and your children while you and they are asleep or do not plan to sleep while at this hotel would be great for you.

the price is almost the lowest in this area, the room is nice, try to find Tony, he can give you a better price.

The place is a dump...everything is falling apart and god-awful filthy with wallpaper literally peeling off the wall, black mold underneath. The sheets have stains on them. There were long black hairs in the bathroom as though nobody bothered to clean up after the last guest. As another guest said, they bolt the tv remote to a decrepit nightstand as if anyone would want to steal a 20 year old remote. The isn't even a clock in the room. If my phone didn't have an alarm feature built in to it I would not have been able to wake up in time to make my business meeting in the morning. The floors and hallways clearly have holes in them covered over by stained carpets. Over my bed is an ominous looking water stain with peeling acoustic foam that seems poised to fall down onto me at the slightest rain. Other reviewers have said that the water drips down onto the bed. There is also a periodic thundering banging sound but I can't localize from where it is coming. In short, this place is a dump and way overpriced at 65 bucks. Twenty nine dollars would be more like it...but who wants to sleep in a 29 dollar pit? Had I known what I was in for I would have clearly gone elsewhere...but I arrived late and exhausted so this is it. I have read a few reviews that are glowing about how wonderful this hole is but I suspect that these reviews are planted here by the staff/owners as there is no relation whatsoever between the content of the positive reviews and the frightening fact of the matter. So please my friend, run away. You'd do better to camp under an overpass than waste your time and risk your health here.

A good hotel for a csula student for four weeks, but they have a awful breakfast. I was there with other collegues. The clerk helps us in many questions.

I did not like sharign a room with cockroaches. I liked that they ran away when I turned the lights on. I have never been to a hotel that bolted the remote for the tv to the nightstand!!!

This is just to thank you & your wonderful staff at the Alhambra Inn. I stayed at your fine establishment last summer with my 2 kids. We got to use your jacuzzi & swimming pool. I have nothing but good things to say about your hotel. I have recommened the Alhambra Inn to my friends & relatives. I plan to return to your Inn this summer & this time I'm bringing my aunt & uncle to stay as well. We are looking forward at the Inn again. Sincerely, Niles

I am a retired police officer. I have been visited and stayed in Alhambra Inn last 15 years three days per week because I have an office close to the hotel.Also, I bring my family to the hotel during the weekend for the relaxing. I could chose any one of hotels from this area. But I am still living in this one because of their profession hospitality services. they are responding what I need even before I request it. The front clerks always care about me, Plus the housekeepers have been doing the way I want it in my room. I wiil chose Alhambra Inn again if you want the opinions from me. See you Soon.

I was a student from Germany. I came to USA study at Cal State Universaty during the summerlast year. I was a very happy and satisfactories guest at Alhambra Inn. whenever I need the helps. The front desk clerks and the housekeepers both of them gave me what I want. They were friendlly and nice. The housekeepers did wonderful jobs every day in my room. They carefully clean my room with all the details. I wold not forget this hotel. I will stay at Alhambra Inn again next time.I referal this hotel to my friend and my school classmates. They all are happy whey they came back to my hometown Germany.
