THANK YOU
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/10/07
We are 2 girls from Denmark, who visites Furama Hotel in 2005, and it was great. When we left we were told that the hotel was about to close, but we are very pleased that it is still there :) The pool and staff is great, these 2 things made the stay the best. The staff helped with everything.

Hopefully coming back soon=)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/06
The Furama Hotel was located near various parks which was good for us at the time as we were a basketball team staying there and needed a place to train. The hotel is also close to other beaches such as Venice Beach and Santa Monica Beach and it was easy to get there by public transport which was right across the road from the hotel =)

Terrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/06
It was my first visit to the USA and if the Furama Hotel is an example of hotels in California... Forget it !! On arrival at LAX I gave up on the shuttle after a one hour wait and paid for a cab instead. The place looked dirty and tired and the electrics in the bathroom were a joke by UK safety standards. If this is an example of hotels in the richest state of the richest country in the world, well give me a B&B in Brighton any day ;-) PS Only a Limmey like me will understand that last comment!

Good value good for Santa Monica trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/01/06
Liked the pool and porximity to supermarket and reasonable restaurants. 10 pin bowling also nearby. Liked free shuttle to Santa Monica. Also easy to access Venice and Santa Monica by local bus. Pick up and drop off from airport efficient and free. Room confortable and clean. Service and staff good. We have been there twice and it would be our choice of hotel near the airport.

Hot Tub is Great!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/20/06
The location of this hotel is great, good neihborhood, close to Loyola, Venice Beach and Playa Del Sol and not too far from LAX but you never heard a plane, the Hotel is alittle weathered and could use a good cleaning and updating, the front desk was accomadating if you are persistent and don't take no for an answer. The only thing that was outragous was the parking fee, with ample space for parking and not being in a high desity city urban area, the parking charge was just pure greed.

great location terrible rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/11/06
The place was very dirty and very much in need of repairs. At $65 a night it still was not a great value unless location is all you want and cleanliness/repair/comfort of the room and hallways is not important.

Great Location as an LMU parent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/12/06
I liked that it was close to LMU. Everything seem to be right in the area (Stores, restaurants etc. We stayed in the tower bldg. and it was pretty clean. I thought that the maids did a good job of cleaning. I'm not sure when any renovation was done, but we enjoyed the last 2 times we stayed there and plan to stay there again. You really can't beat the price and the location. LMU Mom

we choose the Furama EVERY time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/06
good value hotel. we are a family of eight travelling to / through LAX two or three times a year. we always choose the Furama, it's well priced, convenint with the guest transport to LAX. over the road from a public library with free internet access. there is a Ralphs Supermarket next door (ask to join their Ralphs Members Club at the checkout and get great discounts on the members specials ). the hotel is also next door to a ten pin bowling which has an attached diner with really good, well priced meals - they have cheap deals before 5 or 6 pm. it's an ideal well priced hotel for all types of travellers, especially if just stopping over for a night or two. Debbie Rewi.
