Really very nice
By Slaghead, 4/18/12
This place was great. It was a little more of a walk to get to Disneyland than I expected but the room was great and well stocked. The only thing we didn't have that would have been nice was a refrigerator and it would have been nice to have a better view than the fence around the rooftop basketball court and hot tub areas. I bought a package through their website that was a third night free deal but when I got to the hotel, they claimed the package was a free breakfast. At $20/each for the buffet, which was a good way to start the day, it was almost a wash so I didn't bother investigating with them further. The shuttle to Disneyland is something like $15 and not free and parking is $15/night as well. Seems like parking should be included in the price of the room. It was nice having a Starbucks adjoined to the lobby since I was able get my morning latte's. The outside of the hotel and the lobby were both beautiful as you would expect from a Hyatt. We really enjoyed our stay here and I would recommend this place to anybody for pretty much anything, just be a little prepared for some nickle-dimey stuff.

We would never go Back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/10
Our family stayed at the Hyatt Orange County on a recent trip. We have three young children, so, cleanliness is very important. We were disappointed. The bathroom was covered with long black hairs. In trying to clean it up (because we checked in so late there was no response from housekeeping), I tried to use the bath towels. Those had hair on them as well. The floor was filthy. In fact, there was old, dry food scattered on the floor. My two year old picked up large chunks near chairs and under them. Cobwebs could be found in corners and at curtains. My husband and I complained. I specifically requested that the room be vacuumed. Nothing was done. I would rate it as a two star at best. We will never consider going back. Unfortunately, it sours us from any other Hyatt.

NOT FOUR STAR QUALITY
By Mrs. Fotofili, 12/29/09
The bathroom was gross. I seen a pubic hair on the toilet seat! Five minutes after walking on the carpet with my white socks on they turned black on the bottoms...I ordered the steak medium rare and it was served cold and leathery...I recommend not staying here til they fully remodel in 2010 and serve better quality food.

I will never stay at another Hyatt - Horrible
By Justin, 7/11/09
March 28, 2009 my wife and I just got married that night and chose this hotel to celebrate our first night as husband and wife. We got a 2bdroom suite and had our bridal party join us in the room after the wedding. Hotel security comes charging in and acts like we're a bunch of high school kids having a party. They disrespected my wife and I and all of our bridal party. They demanded the extra guests leave at once. At that point my wife and I refused to stay in a hotel that would treat us with such disrespect. I've dealt with 3 people with Hyatt, and all of have been a nightmare. They would not issue me a credit for my whole stay and put the blame on me for allowing too many guests in my room. They agreed to issue 1 nights credit and I have been going back and forth with them for the past 3 months and they still can't figure out how to issue me a credit. I have refrained from posting a comment about my stay but after 3 months and no resolution I'm tired of the run around. All of my family and friends have heard the story, some witnessed it, and they will never step foot in another Hyatt. I rate this hotel AWFUL for the bad service and lack of resolution.

WHY WE WON'T BE BACK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/07
WE RECENTLY TOOK OUR FAMILY TO DISNEYLAND AND STAYED AT THE HYATT WHICH WE HAD STAYED A FEW YEARS BACK AND HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. THIS TIME WAS DIFFERENT, FROM THE DOOR MAN YELLING AT OUR LIMO DRIVER TO MOVE EVEN BEFORE I GOT OUT OF THE CAR TO HAVING TO WAIT FOR ICE CREAM AT THE RESTAURANT FOR OVER 45 MIN. NO ONE WAS THERE THE KIDS FELL ASLEEP AT THE TABLE AND WE EVENTALLY LEFT. OUR ROOM WAS A HANDICAP ROOM THAT WAS IN NEED OF REPAIR, FURNITURE WITH CHUNKS TAKEN OUT OF IT AND THE IRON RAILS ON THE DESK BADLY RUSTED. HOLES IN THE TOWELS AND ONLY TWO FACE CLOTHS, NO CREAM OR SUGAR WITH THE COFFEE AND THE SECOND DAY NO COFFEE(WE HAD TO ASK FOR IT). THE UMBERELLA'S WERE NOT SECURED INTO THE BASE AT THE POOL AND AN UMBERELLA FLEW OUT OF THE BASE AND CAME TOWARDS MYSELF WHICH I JUMPED BACK AND GRABBED IT AS IT FLEW BY. THE GATE TO THE POOL AREA IS STILL NOT WORKING CORRECTLY AND AT TIMES YOU CAN'T GET INTO THE AREA (THIS WAS A PROBLEM TWO YEARS AGO AND IT STILL HASN'T BEEN FIXED). SENT SOME CLOTHES OUT TO THE LAUNDRY AND GOT BACK A BRAND NEW PAIR OF SHORTS THAT HAD ONLY BEEN WORN ONCE AND THEY WERE SCORCHED SO CAN'T WEAR THEM AGAIN. OUR COMPLAINTS WERE HEARD BY THE ASST FRONT DESK MANAGER . SHE DID TRY TO COMPENSATE FOR THE MISHAPS BUT HER BOSS WAS VERY VERY RUDE.

Great, clean, comfortable rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/07
The beds are so cozy with the down blankets. Starbucks in the lobby is awesome! The shuttle is very convenient. Breakfast in the main lobby is outstanding. Definitely recommend!

Do not stay here unless you have too much money
By Shou I, 5/19/07
As a guest of this kind of high-end hotel, I am surprised the kind of charge they place everywhere and nothing is FREE in the hotel. We have to pay $15/day for self parking or $17 for valent. The high speed internet cost $10/day. Water in the room is $5 per half litter. The price is reduculus everywhere and not able to avoid it if not pay attention in the upfront. I would definitely choose Hilton or other hotels in the area next time.

Loved it!
By selittrell, 1/31/06
We went through a travel online company and compared to the hotel we were originally at, which was supposed to be wheelchair accessible but would not provide me with a shower chair as I needed one to be able to shower in the 6 days we would be there. I loved the Hyatt Regency! So nice!

Hyatt Regency
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/05
This 4 star hotel is located right off of Newport Beach. Our stay there was for 7 days. Our room was comfortable, it could have had a few more amenities, but still comfortable. We had a room with a view and a balcony, overlooking the courtyard as well as the beach. The courtyard area was full of flowers and plants, had 2 pools, 4 spas, restrooms, and showers. The main thing that was upsetting about the resort, was that it only had Valet parking. When you're spending $200-$300 per night, it's hard to justify $20/day plus tips for valet parking.

Yummy
By anade, 9/14/05
This hotel was very service oriented. Everyone treated me as if I were royalty. The most memorable thing was the food. It was delicisous and quick. The prices were about average for the area, but the taste was soo good. My compliments to the cooks!
