nickel and dimed
By Man2th, 01/29/09
I stayed at the Cosmopolitan during a terrible ice storm in Fayetteville. When I arrived, there was no power--no heat, no hot water, no lights, no food--in the hotel, but this was true all over town. This went on for 36 hours, and the rooms were frigid. The hotel's staff were in the same boat, though, and from what I could tell they did their jobs well, especially the support staff. My problem was that the hotel management decided that there would be NO discounts whatsoever because the power outage was not their fault. So they made everyone pay full price for a hotel with no lights, heat, food, services, not even lockable doors, and seemed to see no problem with that policy. By offering a free night--even half off for the night with no power--they would have earned my loyalty. Now, it's unlikely I'll be back when I have to come back to Fayetteville.

Misleading and Horrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/04/08
My husband and I came to Arkansas to visit family. I decided to surprise him by getting away for a night and hopefully having a romantic evening. Boy was I thoroughly disappointed. I reserved the "Escape Package" which was to include a king size bed. The pictures on the web page looked chic and modern, but the rooms are NOTHING like those pictures. It was extremely misleading. When we checked in, we were given a room with two double beds. So, we went downstairs to get the correct room and was told there were no king size bedrooms available. We settled for a double bed room on the 15th floor that was supposed to have a refrigerator, microwave and balcony. There was a balcony alright, with loads of dead flies all along the lining. There was no microwave or balcony and there was no way on the remote control to access ordering the movies they supposedly "offered" as one of their many amenities. The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast. The funny part is that they weren't running a buffet due to the low number of guests in the hotel. It's kind of amazing that out of 253 rooms, not one king size bedroom was available? Perplexing... It was nice to be so close to Dickson Street and the Square, so if you are just looking for a place to just crash after enjoying a night on the town, then this hotel is alright. But, otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE, not even an enemy.

Worst Hotel in Fayetteville
By Brain, 09/17/08
This is the second time i have stayed at this hotel the first was when it was the Radisson. Horrible experience so i thought i would try again under the new Management as The Cosmopolitan, big mistake. I am currently in a dispute with them regarding houndreds of dollars accidentally charged to my credit card. After speaking with the highest level of management available ( a desk cleark, i finally got to a manager once their shift started about three o' clock) She informed me i would have to deal with their Accountant Christy who only works nights except on Saturday's. Her shift starts a 11pm. And all this is only dealing with charges on my card. Once in the Hotel for the rediculas price the computers were down so check in was a nightmare. Our sheets had blood stains on them. Hurricane Ike sent 90 mile and hour winds in that left our Hotel room Flooded and with out power. We were in town for a wedding and Once we had all the floral aragnments to bring down stairs the elivators went out. The cleaning lady came in the room to clean prior to us checking out (however she was the nicest person out of the entire staff we had to deal with). Now i lived in Fayetteville for many years prior to moving to Kansas City. This Hotel went under as the Radisson due to these issues. I gave these new owners the bennifit of the doubt that the Hotels issues would be fixed. They are not! This hotel has by far the best location out of any hotel in fayetteville. But its not worth the price go up 71 and stay at the Embassy Suites its brand new and for relitavely the same price blows this hotel out of the water.

Horrible Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/17/08
The hotel miss led in that it had been renovated, which is not true; it is undergoing construction. All of the staff is unable to do their jobs well, and were not kind and understanding. There was a blood stain on our sheets when we checked in. The walls in our room were a mess with marks all over them and needed to be washed. Our room flooded while we were sleeping, and ruined some of my photo ablums. To top everything off it was my sister's wedding, and were supposed to get a discount for blocked rooms and did not. The elevators did not work when we needed them most, when all of us girls had to leave for the wedding, so we had to go down many flights of stairs and made us run late. To make all of the the hotel matters worse, they put 3 charges on our card that are not accounted for and equal over $400.00. I have tried to get a hold of the hotel numerous times and left messages and they have not called back. I am very disappointed with my stay there because it was a stressful time already and the hotel made matters worse. The only good thing about the hotel is that it is near Dickson Street; other then that there is nothing good to say about it.

Metro Hotel...?? NOT yet..!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/07
The service was great. Everyone was very helpful. However, the restaurant on location was never open. The bar was open, and the order for dinner had to be placed through the bartender. Not very impressive for the look that this hotel is striving for.

Needs alot of work!
By Steve L, 08/04/07
The window air conditioner could not cool the room...the in-room high speed computer connection did not work and the wireless in the lobby was hit and miss. No water pressure in the shower. The staff was friendly.

inside entrance, very clean. I wish I could get some kind of a discount. I do have AAA if that makes a difference. I loved the food also.

We will never go back here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/10/06
This hotel is very outdated and way overpriced. When we arrived, we had to call the cleaning staff to come clean our room. There was trash on the floor and hair in both bath tubs. This was the worst "suite" we have ever been in. We will never go back or recommend it to anyone. The location in relation to the Razorback games is the only good thing I can say about it. We wasted our money this weekend.
