Would go back again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/09
We had some trouble with the internet in the room and had to use the lobby internet but the staff was so sweet and helpful and we only needed the internet for flight check in so it was ok.(can't complain over free internet) The room was large and well appointed, except the light over the sink was dim and that made dressing for all the parties that weekend tough. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The pool was lovely and they have these fire pits at night with live music some nights which was very nice. The bathroom was small but clean. Breakfast by the pool was fantastic in the morning and a great start to the day. We would go back and for the money! for sure we would go back! The location was very good, central to all our needs. Parking was free and you could always find a spot. Our family joined us there for swimming and evening smores around the fire pits and were very impressed. The next trip we would stay there again, great value and comfortable beds what else does one need?! (just a makeup mirror)

The worst customer service in the world !
By James, 12/30/08
There were mountains of pigeon poop on our balcony and despite repeated attempts to get it removed we had to try to ignore the unsightly and unsanitary conditions. No follow-up from engineering, housekeeoing or the front desk...manager "unavailable". A HORRIBLE experience...and we are "Gold Preferred"

Needs Major Work
By PYMR, 07/16/08
This particular location does NO good to the name Sheraton, I thought it would be nice, clean, good service....but came to my surprise it was totally the opposite. I stayed there for 4 nights; when I first made my reservation I asked for a non-smoking room, well when I got there I did get a "non-smoking room" that stunk like a smoking room, we got another room, which leaked all 4 nights, the carpet was dirty, the sheets were not so clean, housekeeping service needs to improve as well as hygine. As for me I will no longer stay in Sheraton Tucson.

This Place Needs Major Help!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/22/08
We stayed at the Sheraton in Tucson for three nights because we had an event at the hotel and this made it much easier. I made sure before we started out on our trip that we had a NO smoking room with a king bed. I was reassured that was the case and paid for the first nights lodging. We arrived after driving for 7 hours and I asked again as we were checking in, “Is our room a NO smoking room with king bed and was told yes”. We proceeded to our room and in the hallway was a VERY strong hotel deodorizer type smell. When we opened the door to our room it was even stronger so we figured maybe the carpets or room had just been cleaned. We put our things away and only had a small amount of time to do this and then meet with some clients. When we got use to the antiseptic smell then we noticed to was in the room to mask the cigarette smell. We could not open window to let smell out because it was so over 100 degrees outside We are both non-smokers and it was like sleeping in a dirty ashtray. I woke up in the middle of the night very upset and then at 5 AM someone started smoking in another room and the smell came right into our room as if the person was smoking in our bathroom. I talked to the lady at the front desk and told her how unhappy I was and she wanted to move us but we were on a tight time frame so they gave us a free $20 meal. She also said, “I am sorry we put you in a smoking room”. I find it hard to believe they knew all the time that this was not a NON smoking room from the time we checked into the hotel. The next morning was the same thing we were awaken by the smell of cigarette smoke at 5 AM. The third night we got smart and let the fan run all night in the bathroom and that seemed to help. When you go to enter your room area they have a gate that looks like a prison gate. I helped another guest with entering and they said, “This sure doesn’t look like a Sheraton”. It has been updated from what I understand but it really needs more. I would never stay at this place again and I believe we would have left if it wasn’t for the fact an event we had to attend was in this hotel. We were very happy when we left this property. Elevator #5 carpet was black and door inside was sanded. The glass elevator was very hot inside and the windows very dirty. I would think in an area like Tucson they would think of a way to air-condition the elevators.

Good Hotel Ruined by Poor Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/08/08
The Sheraton in Tucson seems like a pretty solid hotel. The rooms are nice, there's a beautiful pool in the courtyard, and the facilities are overall quite solid. The restaurant isn't bad at all, and the rooms are large and clean. Based on all that, you would think it's a great place to stay if you're in town for a week. Unfortunately, the poor service we received overshadowed all of these positives. While there were a few people there who were quite helpful, most of the staff, particularly at the front desk, were somewhere between disinterested and downright rude. As an example, one morning we were waiting for a shuttle ride. I was standing in the lobby area for at least fifteen minutes past when the shuttle was scheduled to arrive. I asked the man at the desk about the shuttle, and he told me it had just left 'a few minutes ago' and that I must have missed it, when I had been standing right there all that time! I pressed him on it, and he was simply disinterested and didn't care to do anything to find out where the shuttle was. Sadly, this was typical of my experience here. In summary - good facilities, bad service. If all you need is a room and not much else, it's probably okay; but if you need to use the hotel's services, you might want to look elsewhere.

Good hotel, but needs work.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/07
By no means is this a hotel a dump. But, it needs a lot of updating: Paint job, renovate rooms with adequate bathroom space, free internet service, just to name a few. It is very conveniently located to shops, canyons, and restaurants. Hats off to Pierre who does a superb job at the front desk.

I keep coming back....
By Michael, 02/06/07
Spacious suites, nice beds, generally very quiet, nice grounds and public areas. The ten dollar daily charge for interent service is a real negative, however, and really an out-of-date policy.

Disappointed in Tucson Sheraton
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/09/06
The photo overstates the condition of this place. The entire property is in desperate need of upgrading. The elevators, restaurants, and lobby areas are shabby and very dated. Housekeeping was good in the room but poor in the common areas. Our room was large and furniture was relatively new however the bathroom was nearly the smallest we have experienced. The front desk staff were civil but not very congenial as they always had their nose buried in their monitors. This is a very bad value unless you need to be next to the Medical Center. We won't be back.
