Travelodge Casa Grande, Eloy

Very convienient to I-8 / I-10, Queen room $31. incl. tax. Room very large but seems completely original furnishings/ tv from the mid 1970s. Very Retro look and feel to the whole place. The desk clerk was actually sitting behind a TYPEWRITER! He was a very old man who spoke softly and gave me the key and showed me where the room is. First thing that struck me was the cleanliness of the bathroom and the furniture. The room was huge with a 1970s Zenith TV (no remote), 2 comfortable arm chairs, a square wooden parsons table, a hotel style desk / dresser and a large well used queen bed. Motel 6 = $43 single...this $30 - for me, it's all about a clean quiet stopover between Phoenix and Tuscon that's a good value. IMO, this motel is just fine for 30 bucks. I don't know about the restaurant, but there is a bar / lounge right off the lobby.
