Don't Waste Your Time Here
By The Girl, 7/18/08
I booked this hotel through Travelocity and got double charged. Once from Travelocity on my business credit card and then again on my personal credit card because the front desk staff said that I needed to give them my personal CC#. Neither company is easy to work with to get a refund for the double charged amount, but that is really besides the point. The hotel was "cool" but dirty, had an extremely loud pool party area that didn't stop late into the night, is in a low-income neighborhood, and nothing worked properly. All the air-conditioners in the rooms were broke (which is what the front desk staff said when I called to tell them my AC was not working properly) resulting in me turning my AC to 55 degrees just to get it to turn on, then having it run louder than a train wreck all night to put out a small amount of semi-cool air on a 100+ degree July night. When checking-in the staff told me they gave my reservation away which was a double bedroom, and made me stay in a single bedroom, with my co-worker - which as a married woman was an extremely awkward situation. And, when I bring it up to them today after I called about the double booking charge they first told me that both the King rooms and Double rooms are "standard" so Travelocity can't tell the difference when making a reservation, and that they did my a favor by "upgrading" me to a king room. Obviously that's a contradiction (first a king bed and double room are standard, then the king room is an upgrade?), and I still have my Travelocity email confirmation which clearly stated a double room with 2 beds was reserved. + I remember clearly being able to choose which room type I wanted online. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel or having to go through this experience to my worst enemy. The rooms are not quality or luxury - the hotel is a apartment complex rehab and the staff is young, rude and needs a lesson in customer service.

Standing Ovation...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/8/08
Loved the art deco style of the rooms. It was sort of like Las Vegas slams into Miami, when it comes to the styling. Totally thought the new pool area was great. Rooms are cool and I recommend the suites overlooking the pool. Whoever designed this hotel did a helluva job! It is colorful but in a GOOD WAY The staff provides top notch customer service, including the GM, Ben. At one point I felt like I was royalty. Seriously.. You are close to the freeways and old town Scottsdale which has a lot of nightlife. You are literally a couple minutes from all of the downtown Phoenix happenings, museums and activities. Trust me you will not be disappointed. The restaurants are really good too. A must try!
