Just ok
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/14/12
Overall the king room is spacious, clean but somewhat dated. The first night the cable did not work, no reception at all and nobody available to fix it until the next day. Once fixed it was discovered that there are not many channels available, glad I had a book. The bed was a sleep number which is great b/c I sleep on one at home, problem is that the controller does not show a number, just do it by feel. I am not convinced this is right. For the size of the room, the bathroom and sink area are a little undersized, next to no counterspace, very glad I was alone. The noise level from nearby roadways is substantial but does die off around 10:30pm picking back up around 6am. When registering I was not told of the additional cost (10/day) for internet access. Though the breakfast was free it was pretty lame. I actually thought the quantity of eggs in the container was the exact same two days in a row. Needless to say I did not have any. If I am to return to the area I will look for another place to stay, though my experience was better than what others in my meeting experienced from nearby hotels. I think I will get a car and get away from downtown.

Worst customer service ever.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/4/11
Unfortunately I was at the hotel during the Gem Show at the Convention Center the hotel was refusing all packages delivered to the hotel after repeated attempts to explain I had no connection to the Gem show and needed a my package delivered it was still refused two times by hotel staff resulting in my package being sent back to shipper I not only lost a crucial delivery but now have to endure the cost of extra shipping. The total disregard for customer needs and service was deplorable. Among other complaints was the second rate Restaurant & Hotel Lounge. There was a long wait for elevators & they were filthy inside, I absolutely will never stay here again.

By Uncle J, 1/28/10
I have stayed at Hotel Arizona several times, and whenever I return to Tucson I look to always try to stay their. The hotel appearance is always clean and very nice. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and eligant looking. The rooms have a great view. I will keep staying at this great hotel when in town.

Run from this cockroach infested mess!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/24/09
Hotel Arizona = Cockroach infestation and a filthy mess!‎ - ‎ - 2009-11-23 Shortly after check-in and entering the room we discovered the toilet was covered in urine! In a clean fresh room??? After making coffee in the morning from the in-room coffee service we moved a coffee package and discovered a huge cockroach on the counter!!! Upon taking it to the front desk at checkout and being informed by the manager in charge we would be credited the cost of our room for the night the General Manager John Cousins informed me he would not credit the room and would end the conversation unless we would take the 25% off the room cost for the night. Rude, Rude way of saying it you don't like how dirty our hotel is and don't like drinking roaches with your morning coffee and don't want a 25% compensation screw off! Don't walk, run away from this filthy place!!!

Underpriced ,great deal
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/29/08
Very clean and historic. Right in the heart of Downtown Tucson. Helpful staff. Even a fun nightlife inside the hotel afterhours. There is a fairly popular bar at the base of the Hotel.

Not worth the money.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/5/07
The Hotel was very nice inside the Lobby. The people at the Desk were very nice to Myself and my Husband, but as soon as my Brother and his Wife approached the Desk, they were ignored. The room was comfortable, but I don't think it was worth the price. It was clean, but could use some repairs. There was no mirror in the room itself, just the bathroom. If you are traveling to Tucson to spend time Downtown, then this hotel would be very convenient. We ate at the Cafe at the hotel and it was very good.

Not sure what was going on
By Candace Lynn, 9/15/06
We always go downtown in hopes of finding the best hotels. This time we found The Hotel Arizona instead. When you walk in the hotel looks old but unique, nice, However the front desk is not in communication with maintence on which rooms are in working order and which are not. We moved three times before we found a room within the hotel that had a working A/c or wasn't a closet with a huge bed. They were however very accomidating and sorry for the inconveince. Nice restraunt and lounge, with a golden tee and two pool tables. The pool which is on the first floor was small and coke machines did not work on the first floor had to search for a machine that took dollar bills.
