Clarion Inn and Suites Dothan, Dothan

When we first arrived, had a minor problem with geting to our room due to the maintenace department placing sealant on walkway but front desk clerk was so polite and so helpful placing us in another room. General Manager was also advised of problem. Next morning had a real problem with housekeeping. The DO NOT DISTURB sign was displayed on door, housekeeping knocked on the door 3 hours prior to check out we advised them we were still in bed,she still barged into our room breaking the chain on the door. We talked with the General Manager about the incident he was so helpful and reassured us the problem would be addressed. General Manager is genuinely concerned with customer service. We visited Jakes (located inside lobby) on our stay, it was really enjoyable, people very pleasant. My rating is based solely on the Manager and Front desk Clerk being so helpful. I would stay again.

Broadband access??? We had a placard in our room that stated for internet access you should be sure that you weren't dialing a long distance number or you would be charged. I would say there probably isn't any broadband access except in the lobby where the "local" kid whose mom apparently worked there stayed on the one computer 12 hours out of the day (well it was a Dell). I was afraid the lead paint in the bathroom would attack us. The non-smoking room we reserved had the strongest amonia smell i have ever experienced in a hotel. Bare wires under the hvac unit were just dangerous. They also disprect the United States Flag by flying their own corporate flag on the same flagstaff... a clear violation of the United States Flag Code... on a positive note, the lady at the front desk was very polite and helpful

Unfortunately we stayed here on a weekend with our family. Guests in a room close by had a loud party, drinking, cursing, slamming doors, yelling at passing cars, smoking and more. This went on ALL night and until daylight the next morning. We had to put a towel under our door to keep the smoke out of our room. We called the front desk three times with no results - the clerk laughed at us and thought it was funny. Fianlly at 4 am he called and they all laughed and went on partying. The noise of the cars and trucks on 231 was also bothersome and is a constant thing. They did offer us one night free stay but all we wanted was some sleep. We will never stay there again. I've given up, now, on Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. My last five stays have been in rooms that smell like dogs. I will now choose hotels that are pet free.

The rooms were very clean. the food is good, and I had a very refreshing experience with one of the housekeepers, whom went out of her way to be very helpful to my family and myself, I believe her name was Darline, she was very polite,considerate and overall just a delite, she made sure we had everything we needed and went out of her way to be helpful to us. Our only bad experience was a very rude front desk clerk.

The outlets did not work, the ceiling in the bathroom was falling down, the color on the T.V. came and went, the toilet was nasty, the towels were stained and worst of all, there were live bugs in the room and dead bugs in the microwave! After speaking to management, the best they would do is discount our room by $25 which we were told was the military rate.

Holiday Inn South is in a great location just as you enter town. Our room was clean and the FREE breakfast bar was great. The inner courtyard was beautiful.

This is a great hotel for Priority Club Members. Great perks and Free hot breakfast buffet

Overall, this is a great place. The best thing is they are pet friendly! Only negative is a real sour employee on the front desk.

This hotel was clean, and had all the perks for a business traveler. I recommend for sure.
