Howard Johnson Inn Mobile, Mobile

Stayed at this hotel for a day. When we checked in the person at the reception was not sure which room is clean and which one should give for us. It takes about 20 minutes to find a room and to check in. When we got to the room, the carpeting was very dirty, not vacuumed since the previous person left. The shower and bath tub was dirty. There was no trash can, the TV remote was not working and no coffee powder, creamer or sugar was available. I found no way to call the reception from room phone and I walked back again through the foul smelling long corridors and another room was then allocated for us. Even in that room the remote was not working, and the room was bad smelling too. The shower curtain was really dirty, I haven’t seen such in any of the hotels I’ve stayed before. The pool was disgusting. I will NEVER return to the howard johnson mobile ever and will tell everyone to avoid. it's kinda scary. We would not recommend this place to anyone and WILL NOT stay there again.

Hotel was close to where our tournament was. Our room was large and clean. They ran our of 1st floor rooms so we stayed on the 2nd floor. I would have given them a 5 star if I didn't have to walk up the stairs. Overall my stay here was comfortable.

The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful during our stay. The location was quiet and convenient for us. We stayed here 1 night before the cruise ship left Mobile. Highly recommended due to its value.

Stayed here during the last week of July and got 2 nights complimentary stay. So I have no complaints =) The hotel is convenient lcoated near the mall. It's quiet. The only thing is it's a little older.

I liked the service that the staff provided. The front desk person was extremely helpful to my questions. The other thing is that its rates were reasonable. One thing I didn't like was the fact that the hotel's a few miles from downtown where I needed to be. But I had a rental car so that wasn't a huge problem. I will definitely stay here again when I have a chance to be in Mobile.

You will fear for your safety. A dump! Nasty! The worse place I have every stayed. Nothing but a drug use motel!!! Don't put your life in danger here. I saw bullet holes on the window frame as I was leaving the next morning.

First of all the A.C did not work properly, I have sleeped in a barn on hay that was more comfortable then the bed and forget about swimming unless you want to catch some kind of disease none of the ice machines worked there was no regular coffie or any creamer available, upon going to the check in desk to inquire about these items there was none available and when I ask to speek to the manager she was very nasty and didn,t really care about the needs of the customers that wanted to stay there and I will never go back .

Giving this hotel a chance was not a good idea , the location was the best thing about it . My stay here was not the best at check in our room was not ready at 3:00 pm number two after recieving our room keys to come back later the keys didn't work only a couple hours later. Second the room had a stench of cigars and feet , luckly my girlfriend had air freshener . And to top it of we were scheduled to have the room for two days only to be waken up at nine o'clock in the morning for both days by house keeping yelling in the door about staying time and ruining a gourment that was very expensive. At check out notifing the manager of the events we felt like she didn't show concern or anything and as a whole we got know satisfaction. Oh and by the way we had to make an POLICE REPORT about the damaged piece..

This was absolutley the worst motel I have ever been to. The rooms smelt like chronic and the sheets had a huge blood stain. It was the size of a golf ball and was still bright red in color. Totally disgusted left very quickly. I would rather sleep on a park bench with newspapers than sleep here.

after booking 3 rooms for a family vacation over the internet and calling to confirm that there was a pool and a hot tub which both were confirmed over the phone. We drove 14 hours and arrive to find the pool 1/3 full with black water and garbage - staff tells us that it hasn't worked all year because pump is broken ( I could have bought a pump for the cost of 3 rooms). didn't see a hot tub. parking lot littered with garbage bags, tree cuttings dumpster, persons on balcony smoking drugs and look a hooker walking the rear lot where the staff didn't notice I guess. walk in the hallway towards the front desk to see carpets ripped, stained and wet!? funny smell. what's with the black plastic on some of the lower room windows? this place looked somewhere between a flop house and abandoned. staff very friendly and when told we needed a place with a pool for kids they refunded our money without question and recommended the comfort inn which by the way was wonderful and I would easily go there again. I will never return to the howard johnson mobile ever and will tell everyone to avoid. it's kinda scary.
