Days Inn Suites Terre Haute, Terre Haute

This place is dirty, smelly, and overall a dump, I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to stay here! Dont waste your money!

This hotel here has to be the worst hotel i have ever stayed in... Yikes! The floors were so gross our 2 dogs wouldn't sleep on the floor. The owner operator pretty much does just enough to get by. We were given a Non Smoking room that smelled like it had a chain smokers convention in it. I couldn't even breathe! Please don't stay here, you are better off sleeping in your car.

I'm not very high maintenance but this was the worst room I have EVER stayed in. I also typically enjoy Ramada Inn's so I'm not biased in any way. Right away the room reeked of cigarettes even though it was supposed to be a smoke free room. The first thing I wanted to do was turn on the air conditioning. Not an easy feet when one of the knobs and the metal vents are missing. After closing the door I noticed a huge gap in the frame and a hole in the door. There were two holes in the walls and as I went into the bathroom there was a hole on the inside of that door. When I went to get in the shower the metal ring that holds the shower head in place fell off and smacked into the tub. Having concluded that I must be on some type of prank show, I continued to shower anyway only to get out and dry off with the first towel I could reach. One that looked like a brownish hole had been burned in it about the size of a dime. Having traveled from Rochester NY to this hotel in one day, I was extremely exhausted and just wanted somewhere to lay down. As my wife got in her bed she pointed out a black stain in the carpet between the beds that was about a foot wide and 3 feet long. As I looked down to see it myself, I noticed that there was no side skirting on the pedestal that holds the beds up. May god strike me dead if you couldn't see three exposed two by fours extending past the bed side about a 1/2 an inch. At this point we could only laugh and do our best not to touch anything throughout the night. About the only good thing I could say about this place is that desk people were nice and the continental breakfast was decent.
