Worst night ever
By ,
We check-in about 10pm on 5/22/09 and the room had bugs everywhere. they were attracted to the lights. we could hear the room next to us they left the bathroom light on all night which is also a fan. About midnight we were sound asleep and someone opened our door with a key and tried to come in. Luckly we place the door lock on. I tried to call the front desk to report it but no one would answer, so I had to go to the front desk to find out what happened. they said for some reason the room next to us their room key opened our door.. We will never stay there again.

Can't Wait to NOT Go Back
By ,
Cheapest motel in the area- for a reason. Comes with a refrigerator and a microwave- but they're not plugged in. Why? There's no outlet. You have to drag it over to the bathroom to find a plug. Heaven help you if you want to close the door for some privacy. Oh, the the bathroom door was literally falling apart at the seams. Twin beds instead of queens, if it matters to you. Tiny, tiny room with nasty reception and not much to choose from. The pool was dirty and cloudy.

Better Than Staying in Coalinga
By ,
At roughly the same price at the Cambridge in Coalinga proper, this property shown like a diamond in comparison. Tiny, tiny room, though-- and the ceiling in the bathroom was in bad need of a scrape 'n' paint. The pool filter seemed to be barely working- lots of debris and dead insects. On the plus side, it was quiet, the the A/C worked great. Lots of fast food and a Red Robin nearby, along with several gas stations. One sore point that's not their fault-- there is a stockyard a couple of miles down the road, and the stench in the summer heat was quite magnificent.

Decent 1-star level motel in the middle of nowhere
By ,
We stopped in at midnight and decided this was a better alternative to Motel 6 (which was right by the freeway). The room was ok, but it was very hot and stuffy. The A/C was turned on high all night and it never got too cool or fresh. After a morning shower, it got even more stuffy. Opening the door was the solution to cool fresh air. But overall, it was ok, though I wouldn't walk around barefoot. Carpet was frayed in places, bathroom was a little creepy, but overall acceptably clean throughout. Quiet atmosphere which was nice on a Friday night of a holiday weekend (we were upstairs on an exterior-facing room). Must have missed seeing the free breakfast they advertise though! Good enough for a place to crash to sleep from midnight to 7am in the middle of the drive from So. Cal. to No. Cal. No frills.

Try someplace else...you'll thank me
By ,
I should have stayed at Motel 6. Service was good though. When I first go to the motel, it looked like it was something you'd see on the seedy side of town. The color for one, (faded green) with doors that were unpainted, or halfway painted, looking as though the police smashed through a few of them. When I got to my room, it was small, the bed was sagging, there were spider webs in the corners, the sofa was faded and made me think I should have brought my latex gloves. Needless to say, I had already paid for it, and wanted to get some sleep. After a bit of sleep, I felt something crawling on me, which turned out to be a cricket. This totally freaked out my gf, and she insisted that we get another room. I got a new room with no issues, and brought my little cricket friend to the front desk to show them I was not pleased. The new room was a tad better, but it had a front door that was smashed a bit and someone had tried to cover it up with a really bad paint job. When I first saw the pictures of this place online, it actually looked decent. Boy, this is a prime example of why pictures cannot be trusted all the time.
