Xaman-Ha Condos, Playa del Carmen

Wonderfully located, fantastic views and beach. A quiet pool, nice rooms, very peaceful at night. The staff was very helpful in several situations. Try to get a condo on the top floor; these are the best. The complex is close to town for easy walking to food and entertainment, yet secluded next to a little park filled with Mayan ruins. Really cool.

Love the beach and the people. Have gone there for 5 years. Great apartments and a wonderful pool. You are only a quarter of a mile from the heart of the city. I can't wait to go back. We go over X-mas holiday.

I stayed here a few years back & it was nothing special. I just got back last week & I was truly amazed. My first impression was "this is not the same place" 7204 has new owners that care and judging by the look of the condo - it shows. New kitchen, furniture, & home entrainment centre. You can�t beat the view of Xaman Ha or the location. You don�t need a cab every time you want to go downtown � its right at your doorstep.

We loved this place as it was within walking distance of 5th Avenue and all the shops and restaurants. It was a great location for teens. The pool was great and met some nice people. The beach wasn't the best but...can't have everything.

My challenge was to plan a family vacation in Playa del Carmen for our family -- me, my husband, our 16- and 18-year-old daughters and two of their girlfriends. I didn't want to go the all-inclusive route, since we wanted to actually get out and experience the area, its restaurants, and all the culture. Plus, a condo seemed like it would be much more comfortable (and affordable) in terms sleeping arrangements for 6. After hours and hours of research, I finally decided to book the Grand Penthouse (#7209) at Xaman-Ha. It turned out to be a fantastic vacation for all of us. John (the owner) xamanha . com went above and beyond to help make our trip to Playa enjoyable. The condo itself was awesome. Highlights include the spectacular and huge balcony with a gorgeous view, the well-equipped kitchen (including a blender that whips up perfect margaritas), daily maid service, and a computer with Internet access (a huge hit -- especially with the girls). Also, I read so much about bad mattresses in Mexico, but not at this property. The beds were very comfortable. The property itself was wonderful...right on the beach, beautiful clean pools, swim up bar during the day, a five-minute walk to amazing shopping offered on 5th Ave. Thanks to John's in-condo guest guide, we dined at fabulous restaurants every night, never once having had a bad or even mediocre meal. We mountain biked and zip lined through the Mayan jungle, snorkeled in the Cenotes, toured the Mayan ruins, snorkeled at Paamul, rented jet skis, went for a spa day at Spa Itza (not a great experience), and shopped, shopped, shopped. When we weren't out and about, we lounged by the pool, swam in the ocean, and hung out in the super comfortable condo -- with tv, movies and music to entertain us. Make no mistake -- this was not a resort, with someone there to wait on us every minute. Instead, it was the real Playa experience in the most comfortable accommodations imaginable. What an unbelievable value! It's a definite must do!

The Grand Penthouse at Xaman Ha # 7209 was by far the best of the best. We had family members in other condos at Xaman Ha and everyone would gather at our condo because of the triple wide balcolny which is 2 times as deep as any other terrace at Xaman Ha. Also the view is the best in the complex. Having a PC with dsl and a free phone in the condo was an added bonus. Super furnishings and cozy beds and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! Everything including a Sony Playstation and games for the kids, 300+ video library... 80+ chanels of cable tv and new tv's and vhs - dvd players in every room.. the huge full kitchen... granite counters and mahogny cabinets... rich luxury... WE lOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT... hated to leave!

Loved everything about this condo from thebestofplaya. The best of Playa was an understatement, we have been there many times and never had a unit as nice as the Grand Penthouse 7209 @ Xaman Ha. The owners have not overlooked anything. Very comfortable, Gigantic living area and balcolny, Home Theatre system with loads of Classic Movies (vhs) that the owner provides (some new releases as well...) and dvd-vcr players in every room tv's too.

The Best of the best... The Grand Penthouse (7209) is the best choice. Furnished for a long, long stay, 4 New Color TV's, 4 dvd-vcr players, seperate bar fridge, all granite counters, mahogony furnature, new everything... a balcolny 3 times the width of the average condo and a living area with a dining room table that seats 10 and a full size chef's kitchen with oven and dishwasher and a living area that is 2 times the width of any unit in the area are just a few of the features of this beautiful condo. 2 min walk to the main pier, and 4-5 min walk to 5th ave... every attention to every detail here, nothing overlooked...
