Dennen's Victorian Farmhouse, Mendocino

I was hopong to get away for a nice peaceful weekend experience on the coast and guess what, I got it. I booked The Quail Cottage which turned out to be amazing. It was peaceful, relaxing and an enjoyable time. The secluded cottage had a kitchen, fireplace and plenty of room for all of your needs. It was a little rustic but clean and each morning the staff delivered an amazing breakfast. I felt completely relaxed by the end of the weekend. There is a trail down to the beach that takes you to a nice beach if you want a little adventure in your day. You're pretty much on your own in the cottage so bring a book a card game or something to fill your time with. I cant wait to go back and I would recommend the cottage with no reservation.

The beds are like clouds. More pillows than a sultans palace. Fred and Jo treat us like family and make us feel like we are the only guests of importance. I am sure that others feel the same way. Breakfast in bed or overlooking a view of woods, garden or ocean await you each morning. The food is plentiful, delicious and just the way you want it. Jo is attentive to special dietary needs and everything is tasty and a feast for the eyes as well as the palette. We stay at the Inn several times a year to get away from stress or to concentrate on a special project. The fireplaces light with one match, thanks to Fred's expertise. I have never regretted finding this lovely inn on line. It is worth more than you pay for this experience. I recommend it especially for couples, although I have enjoyed a girls weekend away at the inn, also.
