We have been coming to the Sandi Beach Inn for 10 + years now. We come in the early fall with 5 other families and take over the place. The owners are always vey nice. If you need extra towels, toliet paper or sheets just tell the owners. And yes, you have to turn in your dirty towels to get clean. That is not a problem. They provide a basket for each apartment, you put out your dirty stuff and you have clean ones when you return. We just come for a time to fish and enjoy our families and friends. If you are looking for room service or "meeting rooms and stuffy restaruants" this is not the place. It is close enough to walk to Big Daddy's and Kure Pier. The rooms only have an air conditioner/heater in the window in the living room, but they have a fan in the bedroom that pulls it through so it's so big problem. We alwys have a great time and find plenty to do close by.
We could hear, see and smell the ocean it was so close, though this is not a oceanfront hotel nd nor do they claim to be. Everything was spotless in our room. I was down for a wedding and they supplied an ironing board and iron, blender and to my surprise had flowers, and champagne in our room when we arrived.
The staff even gave us a late check out at no additional charge.
I was about to give up on people just being nice at no charge, it was pleasure and we will be back with friends.
In the room amenities a few things are mentioned that just aren't true. The room had no IRON.There was no DAILY MAID SERVICE, they take your dirty towels and give you new ones. The first morning we woke up, went to the beach, came back, walked to the office, which is accross the street, and asked for new towels. We were told that we would have to turn in the dirty towels before we could get new towels. That seemed a little silly. A balcony / terrace is mentioned. The ground floor has neither and if the top floor does, you would be facing the building that was built directly behind this place which blocks any view of the beach. There was a coffee maker, but no complementary coffee. And there was no such restaurant in the hotel. To get to the beach you have to walk down the road past the next hotel, then turn and walk the same distance to be on the sand. No beach access wouldn't be so bad if you could see the ocean from your room.(Remember the building directly behind this one?)We had a decent time, after all it is the beach and Kure beach is beautiful. We just felt for the money, we were a little mislead.
we could not have found a better place to take a quite weekend with the service we received and the personalties, not to mention that it was cleaner that some places I have seen for triple the amount we paid. The rooms are warm and cozy, with alot of personal touches. Thank for a wonder time we really needed the quite peacefullness to relax and unwind....
