This place is a Dump!!!!!!!
By ,
this place is gross!!! we had intended to spend 8 days there with our best friends, however we didnt last 48hours and it would have been less if we could have gotten a flight out sooner. it is simply gross, very very dirty, bugs, flies, bees all over your food. the rooms smelled like urine, there were holes in the electical panels that allowed you to see in the next room. locks on the doors and windows didnt work. there is absolutely no one in charge, to voice any complaints or get any help. the minute you have a problem the staff immediately can only speak spanish. you are also continually hounded from your arrival to go view condos and time shares supposedly constructed by the owner of dreams in downtown los cabos, it is annoying. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! the sad part is the hotel is in a beautiful location, if it was clean, and there was someone in charge. IT IS JUST GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Anniversary Vacation!
By ,
My wife and I celebrated our 2-year anniversary here. We really enjoyed it. We booked our trip as an all-inclusive which is the best way to do it. The only bad thing was that we requested a king bed, but our room had 2 double beds. That was no big deal for us (we just pushed them together) and the hotel staff said that it was the fault of the travel agency. So, it would be wise to double check with the actual hotel to make sure that you have the right bed. The service was great and the food was delicious. We brought cash to use for tip money so that we had no charges to our room when we left. The beach is not good for swimming as there is a very strong rip tide. So if you want to swim in the ocean, look elsewhere. However, my wife and I loved the pool and laying by the beach and listening to it was very relaxing. Their English may not be the best, but the people are eager to help. The property was beautiful and very relaxing. We had a lot of fun and will definitely stay here the next time we go to Cabo.

Not on par with a RESORT
By ,
Pros: It is fairly well laid out. The pools are large and a focal point of the place. Tons of floats, a small water slide and a fountain (great for kids). The views are the standard ocean thing. It is located 1/2 way between San Jose and Cabo on what is known as the corridor. This is a plus if you like to go to both cities. Also, the corridor is supposed to be a quieter place to stay. Lots of activities. Cons: The rooms are comfortable but not spectacular. There are no plants, no robes, no lotion. We had some dirty/missing items that were replaced after 3 or 4 calls. I find that the rooms are fairly clean, but the wear and tear on the rooms is starting to show. Our room had a big gash in a wall and bathroom door that would not lock. The hotel has candles throughout the hallways that look great when they are lit at night. Unfortunately, the hotel never lights them so the hallways are sometimes dark, and certainly less attractive. A couple of nights I lit them myself so I could enjoy them. They were not replaced the next day. The food is stupid. $16 for a hamburger is totally retarded. The thing was so thin I could see through it. It was not even cooked completely. We were going to try one of the restaurants but other guests told us they were all terrible. I walked by the Patio restaurant one morning and the plate of prunes was completely covered in bees. This is where being 1/2 way to San Jose comes in handy. You can eat at a gourmet hacienda in San Jose for the same price as your all inclusive. Drinks at the pool bar were made as fast as possible. The frozen drinks were terrible; Take a slurpee and add either rum or tequila, use straw to mix. All inclusive - well, as I have stated above, I think that you will be hard pressed to find you have gotten your money's worth by going this way. The concept has lead to a general decline in this facility. There are plastic cups EVERYWHERE (under chairs, in bushes, along the hallways, floating in the pools). The place has gotten louder and rowdier as people drink to get their all-inclusive money's worth. Service - If you are not all inclusive beware. We felt like second class citizens. The staff took forever to respond to requests and required multiple calls. When I would ask about things like soap, the service desk would smile and say, you are not "all inclusive". The staff continues to sell time shares as you check in - pretty annoying. Dreams reminds me of the "booze cruise" trips. If you are young and without children Dreams might be the place for you. But if you are looking for a resort pampering with excellent food and impeccable service this place is completely wrong for you; look elsewhere!

Best time EVER
By ,
I highly recommend this vacation location and especially Dreams due to the fact that the food, location and value out weigh most. I loved the pool and swim up bar and the Italian food was by far a challenge to most of our best dining here in SF. I don't drink but even having free soda or virgin Chi-Chi's were a treat all day long. The open bar in the lobby is great to meet and greet the other guests staying at the resort. The rooms are nice and neat and the room service is 24 hours and FREE with the stay! I kept waiting for some immense bill (that NEVER came) at the end for the 'perks' we would never had thought would be included. I loved the movie night on the beach and the photographer that came out each night to capture your trip was a nice touch. And the prices were reasonable and the pictures were amazing. We ended up meeting so many great people also staying at the resort and have referred so many people to trying it out that I am afraid that I won't be able to book a room this year! If you are the kind of person that will look to find faults and get bothered by the little things like not being able to push two beds together to make a king, stay home! All the other great things outweigh any other possible negative!! Oh, and for the consumer, you can take a bus from the resort to downtown all night long for ONE DOLLAR. It stops right in front of the resort but on the other side of the street. HAVE FUN!!!

Not worth the money.
By ,
We stayed at dreams with 3 childern. The food was bad, when we got to the hotel they had didnt have the right reservations, which also happend to a couple who just got married. They tried to shuffle them off to another resort, but the couple stayed there for an hour talking to the manager, until he finally decided to give them a room. The pool was ok, the room service took almost an hour everytime you ordered. The drinks where terrible. I heard the RIU is the place to stay. Plus its almost 30 mins to the town of Cabo. Oh and by the way, the buffet restraunt has flies everywhere! That probably explains how most of our family is now dealing with a parasite that has to be treated with antibiotics

Very uncomfortable beds
By ,
I am surprised that this hotel is rated 4 stars. the beds are so hard and uncomfortable, very inexpensive mattresses, the towels are thin and not what I would expect of a luxury hotel. The food was average, not too large of a selection. Portofino was good, but only open a few days a week. Himitsu needs a lot more work, very long wait and the food is not very good at all.

Very enjoyable. The service, accomodations, and location were great. Halfway between Cabos San Jose and Cabos San Lucas so you could go to either town and explore.
By ,
The rooms were spacious. They had a stovetop, fridge, microwave, and everything you needed for cooking fod, in case you weren't "All Inclusive." I wasn't, so this made it easier to enjoy the vacation because I did not have to worry about utensils, or pans to cook my chicken in. There were several restaurants in the resort, great pools, wonderful staff, and plenty of activities to enjoy. The views from the rooms are incredible, and the memories will haunt you until you return.

Trip of a Lifetime but beware
By ,
This place was really one of a kind. I just got back last night and I am still buzzing about the experience. The restuarants were fabulous, the Japenese restuarant was my favorite. There were plenty of activities to do and trust me I pretty much did them all; Tennis, Puting green, Ping Pong, Water V-ball, Sand V-ball, Bocce Ball, etc.. The Bar's were great and conveintly located except maybe the Beach Bar could have stayed open longer. There did not seem to be a set closing time but it usually closed before sunset leaving thirsty people on the beach. It really was a fantastic vacation with my wife and a lot of friends since we were there for a wedding and about 80 people were there to celebrate the ceremony. But I have to caution any future visitors to the Beautiful Dreams resort. It is an All-INCLUSIVE stay but when you go to dinner be sure to ask how much the wine is. The service staff is very secretive about the wine and has no problem sending you bottles that cost $170 USD. Most of the bottled wine is not included and you will get stuck with the bill even though they never tell you it is extra. They may even try to hide the included wine, trust me. This is why I had to give the service only 3 stars. Please dont get me wrong Dreams is a great place you just should beware of thier little trick.

Just got back
By ,
My husband and I just got back from an eight day stay at Dreams. We've been to Mexico a few times but never stayed on the western side. The views were outstanding. The room was spacious, the service was prompt, and the meals excellent. I'm glad we did the all inclusive because the prices for meals were way over priced. A few things to watch out for: Double check your bill at the end of your stay. It's in Spanish and if you're not sure of the charges, ask. We were double charged on a few things and tip amounts were changed. Be sure to shower before 6:00 p.m or after 8:00 p.m. or you'll be taking a cold shower. Dinners start at 7:00 and if your not there by 7:30, you'll have at least an hour wait. Five alacarte restaurants are great if you can get in them. Overall, the hotel itself was very nice. The way it's run definately needs tweeking. We won't go back again.

Dreams Resorts
By ,
We just got back from Dreams Resorts in Los Cabos, and had a great time. A couple of things to note though. First, house keeping was extremly slow. They never got to clean our room until between 2:00 and 4:00. The biggest thing was, when you check out, read your bill CAREFULLY!!!! They doubled the tips in most cases, and added things that I had paid for in advance. We whittled our bill down by over $200.00! So read your bill carefully. The food was great, but expensive if you did not sign up for the all inclusive package. You will be tipping often. Getting into Cabo san Lucas from the hotel can be really expensive unless you take the public bus, or the shuttle from the hotel which only runs at certain times. A texi will cost you $25.00 each way. All in all, we had a great time. The resort is beautiful, the people friendly, and the views are awesome............good luck.
