Great place to get married
By ,
We got married in San Jose del Cabo and had our reception at the Hotel. We loved the experience! Our friends liked it so much that they did the same thing 2 years later. When we went back for their wedding our experience was just as great the second time. Make sure to ask for Pepe! He'll give you great service.

I would love to go back!
By ,
I've been to several all-inclusive hotels in Mexico and this was by far the best experience. The hotel was very clean, we actually upgraded our room as well. The food was pretty good, with a choice of 5 restaurants. I loved the Oceana Restaurant, that was the best to me. The drinks were good and they also have 24-hour room service which is free! The staff is really nice and attentive. I loved hanging by the beach and sitting in the hammocks, very relaxing. They even have a movie screen on the beach at night, so you or the kids can actually watch movies on the beach. We did several activities, however you have to take cabs to the actual cabo beach for jet skies..we went on the glass boat ride, drove 4 wheelers, and zip lined through the mountains! I would surely go back. Just make sure to bring bug spray...(lots of bees)

Horrible
By ,
First of all, the rooms are not all ocean view. I stayed there when it was the Melia. They've added on quit a bit. Our ocean view room was on the back of the hotel, on the bottom floor looking at a restaurant. Our patio was close enough to be in Section 5 of the restaurant. It was about 30 feet from our room. I upgraded for $150 more a night for a total of $510 per night. At one point in the trip I returned to my room to find three people in my room, two women and a man standing guard. What reason did they have to be in the closet with the safe??? I called the management. Someone came and took pictures. The next day I was left a message by management that they were charging me $280 for a broken door. I left word for the manager to call. After two days I finally went and waited for him. According to him it was our fault that the door was broken, told me "lucky" that he did not call police for damaging hotel property. What a laugh that would have been. I've stayed all over the world and traveled to many very nice resorts. I will never stay here again. The place is nice. It has below average service. I would suggest putting the do not disturb sign on door and bringing a good sense of humor, otherwise you will be sorely disappointed.

Will never stay in this hotel
By ,
* The coffee maker in the room was not cleaned sometimes. * The decaf refilled in the room was expired every day. They didn't have unexpired packs. * Turn-down service came around 9:30-10 PM when we were always already in bed. * Loud outdoor music & live bands until after 10 PM. * Towels & kleenex taken away with no restock... I asked the maid they didn't leave the new wash cloths and kleenex, and she responded they were out of stock at the moment. * When we used the lotions in the bathroom, they didn't bring the new bottles but simply refilled the partially used lotions. * The iron in the room was broken when we arrived. Requested for a replacement but it never happened. * The hotel is in front of a freeway and noisy. Our room was facing the freeway. * The 24-hour room service cart was going around at midnight, 3 AM, all night, and very noisy. * No fan in the bathroom, it was hard to get rid of fogs and steams. * The toilets didn't flush well (in our room and also common bathrooms). * There were often no towels and/or water in the gym. * In the breakfast buffet, there was a long white string in my coffee, so I told a waiter "there's a long gray hair" and requested for another cup. The waiter looked at it and said "this is not a hair, it's something else from the ceiling, it's ok, it's ok", and didn't give me clean coffee. I pulled out the white string and sipped the coffee (as the waiter insisted it was "ok"), and it tasted like a paint peeled off from the ceiling. I almost threw up. * We made an appointment with the hotel's resident professional photographer for our anniversary photo in the sunrise at 6:30 AM. We got up at 5 AM to take shower and do faces and hairs and dressed up, waited for the photographer from 6:20 to 6:50 AM and he NEVER SHOWED UP! The sun was already up, and we were quite disappointed and frustrated. We never heard from him for the reason or apology or excuse or anything.

We can't wait to go back!
By ,
Some friends and I went to Cabo this past October and stayed at the Dreams Resort for 7 days! It was unbelieveable. We couldn't ask for more. This place is beautiful and is right on the beach. Our room was big and beautiful. The staff is very nice and always on top of things. We ate at all of the restaurants and all of them were fabolous We didn't have one complaint. We were about 15 minutes from town and the resort has a shuttle that will take you and pick you up so that you do not have to worry about taxi's! We will visit Dreams again.

Great fun at pools; beautiful setting
By ,
We went with a large group. We had a clean room w/ a nice balcony and were given robes, slippers and more toiletries than you could imagine. Beach, bar, and grounds staff were helpful and friendly...but couldn't imagine staying here w/out all-inclusive option. Spa was ok, not great. After staying at other AI outside the U.S. the food was better than expected...and yes there were bees and a few flies near the patio restaurants but how do you avoid those??? True about not all wine included...and now that I've read others reviews I realize I was charged double at the spa :( We loved the oceanside views every day and relaxing atmosphere...vendors not allowed beyond ropes on beach so you can avoid them if you want...cabanas w/ hammocks nice touch...lots of activities if you want them...and we loved taking the taxi to town and experiencing Cabo San Lucas...worth the fare! Went golfing, deep-sea fishing for marlin, and sunset cruise around cabo--saw sea lions on rocks and a few whales came to Dreams beach area--very cool to witness w/out paying for excursion! I'd go back for sure...nothing is perfect!

Very nice and relaxing for a honeymoon
By ,
My wife and I just completed our trip to Los Cabos. The hotel and beach are absolutely beautiful. (You cannot swim at the beach due to the undertown). But the pools are nice. I'm writing this review without looking at other's reviews. All inclusive is the way to go. Dreams has 5 restaurants (although the Italian restaurant "Portofino" has closed for renevations until Sept. 10th). We were lucky to get one dinner in there. You can order 24-hour room service at no additional charges. El Patio features a breakfast buffett with a breathtaking view on the beach. It's open until noon. The employees are very nice and pretty much speak or understand English. Drinks are good. I noticed that the bar is pretty much top shelf (for my standards)....Absolute Vodka was great to have. Dreams also keeps your fridge stocked daily with Coronas, Coke, and plenty of water. I did not like the "Vacation Consultants" in the hotel. Stay away from them. They want you to visit one of their other properties...they are timeshare people. I didn't think that they should be inside the hotel bothering us on our honeymoon. We were only consulted by them immediately after check-in. If you need help, utilize the Dreams concierage (spelling?). Mario at the concierage desk was extremely helpful. I would go back to Los Cabos and Cabo San Lucas. But keep in mind that there are a ton of timeshare people looking for a few minutes of your time. Just ignore them.

Honeymoon, THUMBS UP
By ,
Just got back from our week long honeymoon at Dreams. The hotel is beautiful. The service was prompt and the food was outstanding. Our room was very spacious and clean. Staff is extremely nice and go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Transportation to both towns is easy any way you want. Local bus, cabs and shuttles are all available and are all safe a reasonable. A couple annoyances are having to sign off on every meal, and drink. You end up signing your name and saying your room # at least 300 times. Also the bugs can get to you, however they do not bite or sting. I recommend chartering a boat to fish as well as putting away some time to spend on lovers beach to sun and snorkel.

Perfect Vacation
By ,
Stayed at the Dreams October 05 with my fiance. We had a wonderful time. The service was amazing. We did all inclusive, if that's an option go for it because it's well worth the value. Our room had an amazing view of the beach. All of the restaurants had great food, really you never have to leave. We had a wonderful experience and recommend this hotel to all of our friends.
