More than we expected

We liked the curb appeal upon entering the hotel, front desk staff was great, we had a quick check in, everything explained to us. Felt welcome, within minutes! Our Room, was fantastic, queen sixed beds, great bedding, choice of pilloe firmness, all the extras, hair dryer, coffee maker, iron, ironing board,internet, cable. Bathroom, was large, very comfortable, we had toiletries( as expected), great towels,etc. Our room attendants were great! Never required them to come back with anything, everything was there, in place and very clean. The common areas were very clean, hallways, stairwells, pool, spa, work out rooms, etc. all in very clean condition. The Great Room, morning breakfast, served great food ( all name brands, as I checked), all the food was served, temperature efficient, eggs/ sausage were served hot, cold foods were served chilled. Room is tight at certain times, but it only takes a minute to secure a table, well worth the wait. Room is clean, food is hot, food is ample, staff just keeps bringing in more food as required. Exceptionaly good, and all travelers should appreciate the selection. The staff in this room is great, considering the pressure that they are under during their" busy time". Kudos to your staff.
Housekeeping, maintenance, front desk, food staff, all deserve a big hand for making this facilty a "Jewel", a location to be proud of, and it shows in your staff, when they great your customers with a smile, respond to our questions, which they have probably answered a million times, greet us upon our arrival, ask us how we are, did we have a good day , do we need anything, etc. Whenever you have a staff like this, their is always a well orchestrated leader at the helm, and to that person, congrats for a great job, you succeed with this facilty and staff.
As a Property Manager, I see thin gs that most of your customers wouldn't notice, as I do physicaL inspections of properties and sites, I look for all the above listed comments, curb appeal, common area inspections, food prep, cleanliness etc, and rate your staff. Owner or owners should be proud of the experienced staff their have, and work to retain these very positive staff members, the foundation of your business.I will recommend this facility to anyone who wants a comfortable room, reasonably priced,clean, great breakfast, and cordial staff, this is the location for you and your guests. You will not be dissapointed in your stay, and while your at it, be sure to check the front desk when you return in the evening, they always have a fresh plate of baked cookies for you to taste upon returning (home) to the hotel.
My only concern/ dislike was, and I know how this happens, the dumpster at the rear of the building, animals/ birds got into the trash disposal, making a mess with litter around the dumpster, this requires some quick raking up of the papers etc.. to ensure the property always looks great. That is the only thing I thought should be brought to managements attention.
Highly recommend this location to anyone, the staff will treat you great!

P.S. We will be visiting Holiday Inn Express in Saugas, Mass., in mid November of 2009, hope we are as pleased with the stay at that location as we were at the Cooperstown, New York location.
