Holiday Inn Express Auburn, Auburn

Stayed at the HI Express in Auburn recently. Had made the reservation by calling the hotel directly and reserving a special rate thru the MA Dept of Tourism. Arrived earlier than their 3 pm check-in time (I thought the check-in time as 2 pm) but the front desk clerk was able to get my room for me. When I went to confirm the rate found that they had not giving me the special rate but the rack rate. Thank goodness I had the print-out from the web page about what the rate should be and they honored the rate. BIGGEST problem with this property is that it is a 4 floor hotel with only ONE elevator!!! They had 2 wedding groups in the hotel and it was very difficult to get the elevator. Had to resort to using the stairs on several occasions. LOVED the fridge in the room! There are several great restaurants just up the road so finding a place to eat is not a problem. This is a nice property and I am planning on staying there again.
