Ok except for reservation mess-up

I went to CT for my brother's wedding, and reserved my jacuzzi suite six months in advance, even calling a week before my arrival to confirm my reservation. When I arrived, I received a key to a regular room. When I brought it to the attention of the lady at the front desk, she assured me that the general manager had made my reservation, so it was correct. I asked to please be moved to the room I reserved, and was told that I would already be in a jacuzzi suite if I had reserved one. As a consolation for my apparently not knowing what I was talking about, I received $10 off my room rate. How infuriating.
As for the rest of the stay, it was quite pleasant. The small-town staff acted as an unofficial concierge service, going so far as to share the complex history of the area. They had no problem giving us dinnerware in the middle of the night so we could eat our leftovers, and the housekeeping staff did a wonderful job, and easily the most friendly I have ever met.
I would recommend the Holiday Inn Express to a family, due to its indoor pool and great continental breakfast. I urge anyone who stays to get a faxed or emailed confirmation of their room.
