Was a great place to stay
By Tim, 08/05/08
Stay was perfect. Is only about two blocks from the downtown area. You can walk there if you want. Free sodas and coffee was a nice touch. Microwave in the room was also nice. Wood deck on the side where you can look at trees and read a paper or talk on cell phone was very relaxing. I used priceline and got the room for about half of what the web page was showing. Had everything a bed and breakfast has. Will stay there next time we go.

Not Worth it
By Jeffery W, 07/18/08
I was supposed to get a room with a king bed but got a handicap room with a queen. This bed must have been made in the 50's and the room was dirty (hair all over the bathroom, broken towel rack and burned out lights). Not worth the $149.00 a night!

Horrible Management
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/08
After our group stay, I requested the total amount charged to my credit card. I received a response and charged my fellow travelers their part based off of the amount I was told. A month later, my credit card had been charged $500 more than the manager told me was my total. You cannot get a manager to speak with you, and they do not respond to messages, etc. Horrible management. Our group travels to Fredericksburg every year, and from now on, we will certainly not use the Inn & Suites again.

Extremely Poor Management
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/08
The motel changed ownership in 2007. Our reservations were made during a prior stay, one year in advance. When we checked in October 2007, we were told we had no reservations. When we received our next credit card statement, we had been charged for a "no show" one night before we were due to arrive. After six months we are still dealing with the unauthorized charge to our credit card. We have emailed and faxed letters to the General Manager at Fredericksburg Inn & Suites and received no response. When we called to discuss the matter, they repeatedly hung up on us. We have remained rational and kept our communications on a professional level. The motel has not. As a retired couple on a fixed income, we cannot afford to have businesses take advanage of us. This was the sixth year to stay at the motel and the only time we had problems. We can only attribute this to the current managment. Think twice before making your reservations.

Huge Disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/20/08
They definately "sell" the pool area...very misleading. I should have paid more attention to the pictures on-line. I was expecting the charm from the pictures, not just another hotel...especially for the price. One night was all it took for my husband and I to realize this was a place we will not be revisiting. We had burned out light bulbs (which we replaced ourselves), our keys would not function, I had to take a COLD bath, something in the linens made me itch all night long and the ceiling/floor between our room and the room above was so thin, I could hear conversations being held in the room above us...until 1:00 in the morning (not a good night's sleep on vacation). When we requested a room upstairs to avoid another bad night sleep, we were offered no help (we spent our second night at a much better hotel elsewhere in town). I would suggest for the money, look into a B&B...this place is NOT WORTH IT!!!

1 1/2 star at 4 star prices

This hotel is very represenative of the town in which it is located, all hype. Fredericksburg TX is nothing more than a tourist trap. If cannot resist the urge to visit, make a day trip from Austin or San Antonio where you can get top quality lodging and meals for less money.

Great Inn for Families
By NicoleB, 06/07/07
Service was great, pool has slide and separate adult pool. A great place to stay for families, and close to everything in Fredericksburg. We had a spacious suite with a seperate living area. Both the bedroom and the living area had TVs. No PPV movies though. They have a complimentary breakfast with danish and some waffles, cereal, etc. Inn is right on the creek and has a conference center. Just a stone's throw from Main Street.

" VOTED THE BEST"
By himo, 02/26/07
This is a truly "remarkable place to stay. You have all the comforts of home. Try to leave the brick outdoor fireplace, and the large Texas sky, while sitting in the bubbling hot tub !! Just aweome as usual ! ! ! !

So pretty.
By Christy, 06/02/06
The staff was nice and the view was great. It is set in the country and has a real warm, homey feeling to it. I would go back for sure.

The best!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/05
This is by far the best hotel in Fredericksburg. We walked to shops and resturants on Main st. and came back to the hotel to relax in the pool and sit by the fireplace. It is a beautiful hotel that really captures the ambience of the hill country. I highly recomend it.
