Sad to say...
Thought it was basically clean, had all the things you look for in a Holiday Inn Express, but the sound-proofing left a lot to be desired: noise from doors slamming in the hall and the noise from the road right behind the building was unnerving. Had to have maintenance come and take care of a TOTALLY clogged bath tub. Seems like poor routine maintenance.
First stay we were told by the college we were visiting to ask for a their discount and were sharply told by the manager that we were already getting a discount. Second stay didn't happen: we were told by the the front desk on the 1st trip that we never had to call for late check-in unless we weren't going to come and didn't want our card charged. So, 2nd trip we didn't call, showed up @ 630 to find our reservation was canceled; the clerk didn't know what to do; and the mgr, when called at home, offered us 50% off a smoking room which was overwhelmingly smoky. When asked what she could do for us if none of this was acceptable, the clerk told us she could get us telephone numbers to other motels. Wow. Thanks.
My charge from where we did stay has not shown up on a bill, so perhaps they ended up paying for our stay after all. That would be nice, but as others have said: this one might need better management.
