Humboldt House Bed and Breakfast, Victoria

My girlfriend and I had a great stay at the Humboldt. David was a great host, he even made dinner reservations for us! Also buy some of his truffles, they are amazing. The location was great, we walked everywhere even though we had our car. The Celebration room had the perfect atmosphere with a fireplace, sparkling wine, jacuzzi and a breakfast table. We will stay at the Humboldt next time we are in Victoria.

Humboldt House was exactly what we needed. Our 1st anniversary and much needed R&R. David was so wonderful helping me pull off a suprise for my husband at the Inn, but helped me make special dinner reservations and wine tour (can you believe it snowed in mid April so it wsa cancelled) but even with snow, we returned to the Inn and had a very relaxing time. Breakfast was amazing and service was excellent. We will return, as we feel we have a great "find" in Humbolt House. The Vicars

My husband and I stayed here prior to and after our wedding this month and had the experience of a lifetime - wonderful hospitality, incredible breakfasts and the room has all the amenities and touches to make for an amazing stay. We loved the wood burning fireplace and jacuzzi tub for two!

My husband and I just returned from two nights spent at the Humboldt House and we have only good things to say. The innkeeper, David Booth, greeted us at the door and was hospitable throughout our stay, offering advice when asked on restaurants and attractions that we might want to see in the area. Our beautiful room was impeccably clean complete with a wood burning fireplace, jacuzzi tub, champagne and truffles. The bed was a dream - so comfortable with a goose down comforter. Our favorite part of staying at the Humboldt House was the breakfast delivered fresh and hot to our room each morning. Fresh baked croissants, muffins, fresh squeezed OJ, french toast, etc. (you choose from four selections the night before). Everything was absolutely delicious and it was great to be able to enjoy it without leaving the comfort of our room. The location is great - within walking distance of downtown Victoria, but on a quiet side street so you're away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We definitely hope to visit again!

We absolutely LOVE the Humboldt House and Edward's Suite!! It has to be one of the most romantic spots in downtown Victoria. The Innkeeper is wonderfully helpful and makes our anniversary celebration better each year. The ingenious private method of delivering breakfast to the room, cozy bed, fireplace, and jacuzzi spa tub with the bay window are so much fun!! All this and just two blocks to the heart of the city. My husband and I give it two thumbs up!

The Humboldt House is a wonderful B&B in Vicotria, very beautiful and romantic! Perfect for a weekend getaway, walking distance to downtown. The innkeeper is so helpful. We'll definitely go back!

Everything about the Humboldt House Bed and Breakfast exceeded our expectations! The room was even better than the pictures. The bed and selection of pillows were very comfortable. David, our host, was most helpful and attentive to information and other needs such as arranging dinner reservations and a carriage ride. The location was quiet and very relaxing neighborhood, while being only a short walk from either the Inner Harbor or a wonderful park. The savory seafood crepes at breakfast served en suite were delicious and HOT! No detail needed for an absolutely perfect weekend was overlooked. BRAVO!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Humboldt House. The delicious breakfast in our room, the lovely decor, the incredibly comfortable bed, the convenient location, and the wonderfully friendly and helpful staff all contributed to making our vacation a truly memorable one. (And the welcoming truffles were fabulous!) We look forward to returning every time we visit Victoria.

We had a lovely stay at Humboldt House. The room was beautiful--very clean and comfortable with a great two person spa tub and lots of little extras. Our host was very polite, helpful and accommodating. (Ten days after our trip I realized I had left something in our room and our host David graciously returned it to me by mail.) Our in-room breakfasts were delicious. We thought the selection was great, and we really enjoyed the privacy of not dining in a common dining room. It's also in a great location--we were within walking distance of almost everything we did during our stay. I can't think of anything negative to say about our experience and would not hesitate to recommend Humboldt House to anyone looking for a romantic getaway.

Me and my husband stayed in the oriental room here, and it was a perfect honymoon getaway. No T.V. or phones in the room so it was completely private. Delicious breakfast choices, great host and lots of tourist ideas. We had a GREAT time, and will definitly be coming back one day.
