Humboldt House Bed and Breakfast, Victoria

We loved everything about this place. We didn't want to leave. It is in a great location and very charming. Breakfast was the best. Like I said we didn't want to leave.

The super-delivious & private breakfast. All rooms are different in style and charm. Walking distance to downtown. My wife and I took the Garden Lovers package - great value.

I am very pleased with my visit to this place. People here are very friendly, staff at hotels are so professional and helpful. I hope I would have chance to come back the wonderful destination!!!!!

We've stayed here several times over the past couple of years. The location in downtown Victoria is central but somehow quiet. This B&B is cozy, romantic and beautifully appointed. Great breakfast too!

We enjoyed all the Humboldt House had to offer: welcoming champagne and truffles, fresh flowers, hot tub, fireplace, drinks and desserts in the parlor...all the makings of a wonderful romantic weekend!

Humbolt House is in the absolute perfect location. It is within easy walking distance of everything you want to see in Victoria, but far enough from the action to be free of noise. The house itself offers no unwelcome surprises - it is exactly as beautiful as portrayed on their website, and properly remodelled to not transfer any sound between rooms. David, the manager was very helpful and accomodating. We were allowed to leave our luggage with him before and after check-in, which let us explore the city unencumbered by our backpacks the additional first and last days of our vacation. The delicious breakfast was served each morning right on schedule through the dumb waiter allowing all the privacy you could hope for. We really looked forward to that little knock on the door and the whisper that 'breakfast is served', and probably missed that most on our return home. We recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone vacationing in Victoria.

This was our second time staying here and we love it. Although some of the rooms it seemed were much less worth staying in we found the Oriental and Edward room were perfect. It's quiet and the way they serve breakfast is so unique and cute! The one thing I did not enjoy was the fact that there was no variety in the menu! In the morning you pick breakfast it's always the same options. Six months ago they were offering the same menu! It seems to me that part of a bed and breakfast is to offer a variety and creativeness with your breakfasts. But that's just my personal opinion. Other than that this place was great and definitely our favorite place to stay in Victoria.

We so enjoyed our 2 night stsay at the Homboldt House. It was quiet and romantic. The inn keeper did everything possible to make our time pleasant. The breakfasts were outstanding.

We had a wonderful stay at the Humboldt House--beautiful accommodations and personalized service. We especially loved the breakfasts--choices! And prepared perfectly. Thanks, David, for being a wonderful and very accommodating host!

Staff was very accommodating, even though we had just cycled 40 km in the rain and were spattered with mud! We stayed only a day, but Karen took 2 baths in that massive tub. Very nice with bubbles, too. Hope to come back when it is sunny sometime, Nat
