Perfect if you want to relax
Our cottage (Walnut) was renovated, as I think most of the cottages are. Nicely equipped with good bathroom and kitchen, skylight, separate bedroom and bed in living room, screened porch looking out on the lake about 20 feet away, Blue Mountain right across the lake. Adirondack chairs on the lawn by the lake, around a firepit (free firewood). Parking right next to the cabin. Cabins are fairly close to each other but it was quiet just the same. At $85.00 a night a very good value. Staff is friendly and helpful. Short walk to the tiny village of Blue Mountain Lake. Adirondack Museum about a mile or so up the hill.
Hemlock Hall and Hedges are more traditional Adirondack resorts, but you'll pay a lot more and have to eat on a schedule, in a dining room with a bunch of other people. Been there, done that in the Army.
