Best Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in!

I stayed at Express by Holiday Inn - Edinburgh City Centre for 2 nights over a weekend. The staff are really friendly and helpful and arranged to store our luggage when we arrived early in the day. The bedrooms are bright and modern with all the usual tea and coffee / sky etc. Bathrooms have superb power showers with a funky design that means the bathroom door is also the toilet door. Everthing was so clean - houskeeping team do a lovely job! There is a great bar next to the lobby and breakfast is a continental buffet (help yourself like America) to coffee, tea, hot chocolatem, fruit juices, toast / preserves, cereal, fresh bread rolls, danish pastries, fresh fruit and cheese. I checked and the breakfast is included in the price! The hotel is across the street from the Playhouse Theatre and is only about 10 minutes from Princess Street and Waverley station for the trains and bus connection to the Airport. Overall a great location - plenty of hustle of the city - loads of nightclubs and bars all around the hotel. Ask for a quiet room if you are a ligh sleeper. I will stay here again as it is far better than any other budget place I have stayed in before.
