La Quinta Inn San Diego Oceanside, Oceanside

Our stay was convenient, clean and the desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Our stay was in December 2009 and I am getting ready to book a summer stay June 2010. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, good coffee, fruit, cereal, muffins, pastry, waffles. We got the room with the kitchenette so we could fix snacks. We did not want a pool or exercise room as I was traveling with my elderly mom and her dog. It was very accessible and convenient parking for those with limited mobility. Easy access to the freeway, but not noisy and although you cannot walk to the beach, you can drive and go anywhere in Oceanside with ease. We will stay there again whenever we travel to that area from the Palm Springs.

I stayed at the La Quinta in based off of the pics of it near the ocean. Though it is near the ocean, it isnt on the ocean meaning you really do have to go a little bit for the beach. The rooms have no view of the ocean and I even stayed on the top floor. I was very disappointed to find that there is no pool or no gym. Even the in room guide says there is a pool and a gym. Very misleading so far. I do have to say that I enjoyed my room and my 42" wall mounted LCD tv. The rooms are spacious and clean so that is a plus. But they advertise free breakfast, and I have to say that I would have rather gone somewhere and paid for it. The first day I was there I went to the waffle maker for some batter, and being the first one there I wouldnt have thought twice about it, but the machine didnt even dispense a half cup of batter for the waffles. No one else had even had any yet. Then they had luke warm sausages, and bagels and yogurt. The only enjoyable thing was the coffee. Its pretty good. Overall I would say find a better hotel to stay at, although it is quiet here, it is next to a very busy road with only 1 way in and 1 way out with a small parking lot and it is next to a shady hotel and a gentlemans club. Oh, and the free internet was a bonus, but the connection to the wall is loose and you cant bump the cord or the internet will be disconnected. I hope my review helps...

I called them and asked them if they had a work out room and a pool and they said yes, but when we got there No Work Out Room and NO POOL. That is what i was looking for. The room was clean. You can see the ocean because of the other Motels. And there is a mens club right beside it and the girls stand outside. Not a good place for kids.

My Family and I go to Oceanside twice a month and we always stay at this La Quinta Inn. It's not fancy by any strectch of the imagination, But it is clean, convienent, good value & is a great place to go if you have children & you dont want to worry about annoying other people like at a fancy resort. The breakfast was supprisingly good. Hot meal of eggs, Belgin Waffles, sausage, multiple juices, cereals, coffee & yogurts. We will be going back again & again. Thanks for making our trips easy!!

I would never stay here again! Not only is the staff incompetent but the manager as no skills on how to run a business! I stay in many hotels, as I travel a lot, and this is the worst experience I have ever encountered! Not only is the location of the hotel a joke, but so is the way they conduct their business! I would have rather stayed at a roach infested motel then ever go back to La Quinta!

I was charged for my room through Travelocity and then the hotel charged me again.The walls at this hotel are very thin. All in all it was very clean hotel.
