10 reviews for Ameritel Inn Bend, Bend
Always my first choice in Bend
By Edward, 08/20/09
I have stayed here 3 times now, from 2 days to 1 week, and have had a eastern view king, and 2 different western view patio rooms. The best is the 3rd floor, southern end with a patio looking towards the west. You get the most views. Everyone is so helpful. Don, the hotel manager, has gone out of his way to make our stays enjoyable, as has the rest of the staff. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices, there is coffee and tea available all day long, and the home baked cookies at the front desk in the evening are excellent. The indoor pool is set at a comfortable temp, and the spa is probably around 102deg (we like it maxed out at 104deg). They have a business center with two computers hooked to a fast printer, and a copy machine. The workout room has plenty of stations, and no one is ever in it. There are also two washing machines and dryers. The location is great as it is above the Old Mill District, which has a 16 screen movie theater, the REI is the coolest one I have been in (located in the old power plant), plenty of shops, and dining choices ranging from Quiznos and Red Robin to fancy places. The walking trails around the river are in great shape (most everything around the hotel is new) and you can easily do a 2 mile walk without going over the same path. There is also plenty of parking, both in the hotel and in the two adjacent public lots (we tow a trailer and have had no problem parking there. If there is a negative, it is that it is a popular hotel, so they can fill up on the weekends, so getting in at the last minute can be hard at times.

Very nice!
By Cicely, 07/23/08
My husband and I spent our week in Bend at this hotel and had a wonderful time. Breakfast every morning was great and saved us time and money eating out each morning. The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. It was also very convenient (walking distance) to the shops and restaurants in the Old Mill district. I recommend highly and would definitely go back.

Been Going there Since they Opened - It's Great!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/21/08
There is nothing to dislike about this Ameritel Inn. They s aved us from a horrible experience at the Inn at the Seventh Mountain resort. We have been going there twice a year at a minimum and for the most part we have never had any problems. The only one thing I can think of is that this new years a few of the desk girls were snotty! But, The General Manager reported that he would take care of it. Great place, Great Location, Excellent pool/hot tub and excercise facility and close to it all!

They messed up our reservation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/08
We reserved a suite. I even confirmed it prior to arriving. When we arrived, they had given it to someone else. They did very little to rectify the situation. They reason they gave me was purely financial. Saying that they double book on purpose to cover costs. The hotel was very nice. And in a great location. But the lack of customer service makes me not want to go back.

Wow!
By Hoopspringa, 07/04/07
This was the nicest hotel we stayed at on our recent trip. The location was awesome! The service was great! The rooms were very clean! The whole family enjoyed our visit here. The hotel is located next to shops, a movie theater, and a wonderful walking path along a water way. We will absolutely stay here again!

Excellent hotel at a reasonable price
By Jack, 08/31/06
The Ameritel Hotel in Bend is a beautiful facility with ample parking in a quiet section of downtown Bend. On a small bluff above the shopping mall of the Old Mill District, there are plenty of dining and entertainment choices nearby. My two children loved the facility's indoor swimming pool and the complimentary breakfast was to die for. The room was well-appointed...not the best I've ever had, but it was nice. The price ran around $100 a night or so, so it isn't cheap, but it is way above the quality of something like the Comfort Suites or Sleep Inn. I heartily recommend staying at this hotel.

great place with amphitheatre events
By ron, 05/21/05
Referred family and friends here, since I already live here. They loved the view of the mountains, the convenience of having restaurants, movie theatre, shopping, and there was a concert with a top artist the weekend they were here. Then they were only 30 minutes from skiing on Mt Bachelor. But the hot tubs on the deck with the view, and the newness and quality of the hotel were the things they told me they liked the best. They will stay there again I'm sure.

This is a beautiful inn with great amenities. Breakfast has a great assortment of hot and cold foods and the inn is close to shopping and restaurants. I great place to stay.

Nice, new, clean, friendly place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/05
Really enjoyed staying there ... close to shopping. Not in downtown area where a lot of food choices are, but is much better than the Phoenix Inn which is downtown. It is newer than the Phoenix, so ... Has an indoor pool and workout facility. Great complimentary breakfast.
