A fine hotel, with a great staff

Stayed in this hotel for 3 days in late Aug 06. It is not a luxury resort with 24 hr room service and casino. It is very nice, clean rooms, with more than adaquate bathrooms, cable television and window air conditioner. The surrounding grounds and the pool were well maintained. It is right on the banks of the Zambizi River (about 3 miles up river from the falls), so there are signs warning of crocodiles, although I didn't see any. Also, wild boars graze on the lawns, and if left alone, pose no threats. The drive from the Livingston, Zambia airport was arranged by the hotel, and took about 25 min. Because of restricitons involving importation of automobiles, you are driven from the airport in Zambia to the border. Then you and the driver depart the vehicle, walk across the border to the Zimbabwe side, get into another vehicle and continue to the hotel. The hotel arranged all my tours, which were reasonably priced. The hotel and the tour servies do not accept credit cards, so bring cash. I recommend having a supply of small bills so you can give tips. All in all, I would recommend the place, and would stay again if I returned to the area.
