Ruined Vacation

WE MADE RESERVATIONS FOR TWO NIGHTS OVER THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAYS. THE FIRST VACATION MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN ABLE TO TAKE WITH ME IN SEVERAL YEARS. SOMEONE MESSED UP OUR RESERVATIONS AND ONLY PUT IN ONE NIGHT. WHEN WE GOT BACK TO OUR HOTEL AFTER BEING OUT IN THE MORNING WE COULDN'T GET IN OUR ROOM. WE WENT TO THE LOBBY AND WERE INFORMAED WE WERE ONLY BOOKED FOR ONE NIGHT AND THEY DID NOT HAVE ANOTHER ROOM ALTHOUGH THYE GOT TWO CANCELLATIONS WHILE WE WERE STANDING THERE. THEY TRIED TO GET US A ROOM BUT ONLY TWO LOW RANKING MOTELS WERE AVAILABLE. WE LEFT THE ROOM IN A HURRY AND I LEFT BEHIND AN EXPENSIVE BOTTLE OF WINE IN OUR HASTE TO VACATE THE ROOM. WE ENDED UP DRIVING HOME ALL NIGHT BECAUSE OF NO ROOMS AVAILABLE IN THE TOWN. I WILL NEVER STAY IN A COMFORT INN AGAIN. THEY SHOULD HAVE OFFERED TO PAY FOR A HOTEL IN ONE OF THE CLOSE BY AREAS SO WE COULD ENJOY OUR VACATION. NEVER AGAIN. I WILL ALSO LET MY FAMILY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED SINCE WE WERE AVID CUSTOMERS OF COMFORT INNS IN THE PAST. MAKE SURE THE PERSON DOING YOUR RESERVATIONS REPEATS BACK TO YOU THE DAYS AND SENDS YOU A WRITTEN CONFIRMATION IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE LEFT IN THE COLD LIKE WE WERE. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
