Holiday Inn Exp Frankfurt Mess, Frankfurt am Main

The carpet outside the bathroom was soaked because the drain in the shower is not very functional, and we were charged $14 for 8 minutes of a local call, 4 blocks from our hotel. We were told the phone in our room was not a public phone, thus the exorbitant charge.

Because this hotel was so reasonably priced, I was unsure what I was really getting myself into. This hotel was immaculate - the cleanest hotel I think I've ever stayed in! Linens - bed and bath smelled fresh and clean! Front desk staff were great - spoke both English and German. Upon my arrival I asked if they had the number to a taxi - they explained to me that they would order the taxi, I just needed to tell them what time. I thought that was a great gesture. The pizza in the lobby lounge was great and for the price of 7 Euros - it can't be beat! Soda's are pricey though 2.70 Euros for a mini bottle and the coffee runs 2.50 Euros - so just be careful. Also, there are no refills in Germany so you pay for each glass or bottle you drink. Breakfast buffet was excellent (and included in the hotel price)! They had a great selection of breads, crossaints and rolls (broetchen). They also had yogurts, fruits and a vast selection of meat and cheeses to meet everyone's liking. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely stay here again when I come through Frankfurt again. The service, room and breakfast far exceeds the price for one night!!
