An Enchanting Visit to the Sea
Ecola Lodge is a wonderful place to stay in Cannon Beach Oregon. I have spent my honey moon there , and have brought our family to the lodge.
Upon coming in to town you will find the lodge seated right on the edge of the Ecola Creek, a half block walk to town, and a half block walk to the ocean. The owners have graced the grounds with wonderful plants, columbine, fuscia, wild rose, blackberrys. There are lawn rabbits, and a garden pond. The lodge offers a nice day gone by feel. There are other huge hotels in town, but they look like massiveblocks beside the sea, this old lodge doesnt hit you like a bill board, rather she sits grand in her unimposing way.
We have found the lodge hosts to be quite accomodating. They are very helpful in providing information about the town and the sea. The rooms altho not modern, are very clean and cozy. There is a mix of woodwork and faux finsishes on the walls. Some rooms come with kitchens, which we find enjoyable relief from going out to eat every day each meal on a vacation. The kitchens are fully equipt. The beds are comfortable. They provide a tv, but there hasn't been internet connection. It is very quiet there.
The Ecola Lodge is a historic long standing hotel. We do return year after year. It is very convenient location to town full of art galleries, good resturaunts, music events, and of course near by the netherworld of the Pacific's northwest coa st.
