Service without Stars!
We checked into Hilton KLCentral with prestige hopes for a 5Star Hotel. Upon check-in, we were given the wrong room type as we requested for a double/queen size but we were given 2 single beds! They then took another 15-30mins to rectify the problem. The room was comfortable and very business orientated with basic stationery provided. Everything comes with a price! Im sure many guest have made mistakes by using these items provided Though theres a Magic button on the room phone which you can call just incase youve mistaken free items for paying items. On our first morning I woke at 8.30am feeling stuffy, thinking it was just me, we tried to adjust the temperature when we realize there was no electricity! We called to check and were informed that our 26th floor had power failure. We were promised the problem would be settled in less than an hour. Sadly, by 11.30am there were still no power supply and we were told the problem was only with our room. They promised to move our belonging to another room soonest they have on available. We left the hotel to pick our children; on our return we had a new room available lucky them! The leisure pool is very attractive, amongst the best within KL hotels and it has a pool slide which is available for adults children below 5 needs to be accompanied. We did enquire about the outdoor Jacuzzi which was located at the corner that had a good view of KL city, it suppose to have been open till 11pm daily but when we return at 9.30pm it was closed for the day. We thought the personal manning the area could had have a courtesy to inform us early during the day if not put a sign prominently to inform all guest. The best was when we called the Magic button to loan an X-Box for our son. It took them one hour, numerous calls from us, excuses after excuses 5minutes more and etcfinally them came to install but sadly the X-Box was not functioning!! They even provided us with pirated X-Boss (X-Box) games!! We cordially told the personal that we were no longer interested to wait for a replacement set. They eventually made our room for the evening, compliments with Ylang Ylang aroma therapy oil burner was put to fragrant and I would assume cool our temper. Overall, for a 5 star rated hotel I assume there are more to be done. As a proud Malaysian, I think our people need to learn to respect all race and religion for as today; they still have better regards for Caucasians hotel staff still prefer Mat Salleh as to local guest!
