Hyatt Coconut Plantation, Bonita Springs

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. the lobby was great. i would stay here again.

Plantation refers to the timeshare resort whose units are available for nightly purchase. Our two bedroom unit was very well appointed - it was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the area was very peaceful at night. The resort pools are very well done with waterfalls all over the place. The only negative is that there are no restaurants or bars at the plantation resort - only at the Hyatt hotel 1/2 mile away - and the shuttle bus only operates up to about 6PM. So the only way to get some food or a drink at night is to drive yourself down to the Hyatt hotel - not ideal. The beach was a boat ride away from the hotel and hence a shuttle bus and boat ride away from the timeshare resort. The beach itself would have been nice for Detroit, but was pityfull for Florida.

The Leni when I arived had cigarette ashes on the floor the toilet had not been cleaned and their was a minimum amount of toilet paper. The couch and bed were very uncomfortable and woke up to a back ache. You could hear the neighbors door slamming shut and it would wake you from a sleep. However the landscape and room were very beautiful and the staff was very friendly and up beat.

The pool area(s) are amazing. Very quiet. Not crowded. Water falls around pool, hot tubs, a flowing "river"(favorite), a childrens pool, lots of shade, hammocks. Very relaxing. Not near the beach though, but you can drive a few miles to visit public beaches.

The rooms were very nice and they have a nice screened in porch. The pool area was very nice, with many pools and the lazy river. They offer a shuttle(boat) to a beach, but it is had for people who are handicapped to get off the boat and it is a long walk on the beach to the area where you can swim.

We would return in a heart beat! One of the best vacations ever.
