Iberostar Playa Alameda Hotel, Varadero

This resort definately made my 1st experience in Cuba one that I will never forget. I went in March and will be returning hopefully soon! First and foremost the staff is what made this experience unforgetable. Franco, Yandi, and the rest of the crew, thank you for making our experience so much better. Dancing on the beach in the morning, drinking tequilla in the afternoon, watching a show at the theather, followed by eating at the restaurant, more drinking, and more dancing. The location was terrific...woke up to the sounds of waves every morning and feel asleep to the sound of salsa. Its hard to explain just how terrific this resort really is. I once you go, you will understand!!!!! Cuba Si....alllll the way!!!! Miss the palm trees, and the waves!

I absolutely loved this resort. I've been to many, and this one surpassed them all, not because it's luxurious or beautiful, because it's not. It's pretty average actually, but it does deserve it's 4.5 stars. The food was pretty good considering it's Cuba, the drinks even better, with knowledgeble bartenders. The service is what I appreciated the most. The staff is very courteous and helpful, and always smiling, which made the whole experience and atmosphere that much funner. I will definately go back there as I have become friends with some staff members that have now become pen-pals, and are helping me perfect my spanish! Que perfecto!
