We are situated in a quiet location in the old city centre Sultanahmet, the perfect starting place to discover for your trip to Constantinople.Angel's Home Hotel was built in the beginning of the 20th century by Admiral Tafdil and his wife Melek (Angel), who gave her name to the house. In warm weather the forecourt is the perfect place for guests to relax with a good book, enjoy an aperitif surrounded by blooming flowers or just watch the world stroll by. The elegant, fetchingly furnished hotel lobby & lounge is a popular meeting place and a favorite spot to read the daily newspaper. The receptionist will also take your orders as part of our 24-hour room service or make transportation arrangements, if requested.All of our rooms are comfortable and spotless: each is individually decorated with great care and finesse to reflect the refined graces.Each room has air-conditioning/heating, mini bar, TV, translucent curtains as well as opaque drapes to keep out sunlight when you wish, fully tiled private bathroom with enclosed shower cabin, hair dryer, toilet, hot and cold water always available. Some of our rooms also have a balcony.A street nearby the house was also named after the Admiral. Angel's Home opened its doors as a boutique hotel in October 2003 after being restored to its original state and is run by the Duyar brothers.

Please do not stay at this hotel. Me and my wife stayed there in May, 2007, and they are nice, only because they want to sell something to you. My experience of this hotel: first they found me a tour guide, and I spent my first day at historical places. The next day they told me that they have a family shop and they pushed me and sold me a machine made Chinese rug and said it was a Turkish handmade rug. I bought the carpet over $6000 and when I came to the US I took the carpet to expert and they told me my carpet is only $500 at Ikea. The hotel is also not that clean. On the internet they have nice pictures of their suites, but the rooms they rent are not the rooms they show on the website. They don't have a hottub. The breakfast is the same every day. As an American, I recommend to everyone who is American that they stay away from this tiny old building. Try to stay at an American hotel. You will pay the same amount of money at the Hilton or Hyatt or others. Thank you and have a good day.

We had a great time stying at Angels Home hotel from 18th to 23rd of jan.I have to say the hotel have best service and very friendly and helpfull staff. very clean rooms and great breakfast. exellent location most of the places you want to see is within the walking distance. next time if i visit Istanbul which i will Angels home hotel is where i would stay.

almost the best around

*we have stayed at angels home which has the only free gym center around.loundry service was perfect.angel's garden restaurant was perfect with the whirling derwish show for the angels guests on saturdays.also free internet access for guests.location is just the right point for tourists.safe,clean,comfortable rooms,helpfull and honest staff..IF YOU NEED MORE?

excellent place

My husband booked the hotel and so I was not aware of many of its aspects. I had visited the website but many hotels have great pictures and yet when you actually get there it does not live upto those images. This is not true of the Angel's Home Hotel. We simply loved it. The room we stayed in was so beautiful, the staff were courteous and so warm and welcoming, the breakfasts were amazing and kept us going throughout the day and the view from the top was breathtaking. The staff always helped us out when we needed directional help and advice on where to visit next, they took their time even though they were very busy. The food was so amazing that we made a point of getting up early to eat breakfast. Usually when we stay in hotels offering breakfast we never attend it. The view of the sea and the Blue Mosque alone would get us up early to have breakfast. Istanbul is a very romantic and historic city made even more special by Angel's Home Hotel. We will definitely be back to Istanbul and definitely back to Angel's Home. Thank you to all the staff which we didn't get to see or say good-bye to.

fantastic hotel

For my first trip to Istanbul, Angel's Home was a wise choice for a hotel. Aside from very comfortable rooms, and a superb location (less than five minutes away from the Aya Sophia and the Blue Mosque) it is equally close to the Sultanahmet transit stop, and the buses that can take you to Eminonu for ferries, or across the bridges to Beyoglu (the European city.) The hotel's staff is extrememly knowledgeable about how to find places, where to look for certain specialty shops, and many other important details for getting around the city. The staff is also ready to assist at any time of day or night, including wake up calls, arranging for tours or airport rides, and serving an exceptionally good breakfast in the mornings at the rooftop restaurant. In addition, the rooms contain very cozy bedding and ammenities, which are exceptionally clean, with excellent housekeeping. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Istanbul - especially to those who are making a first trip and need assistace moving around the city. The owners/managers are ready to help in any situation, which can be very important when one is in a new city. In addition to all these reasons to stay, it is a very affordable hotel - an unquestionable value for your money.

Superb Location.

Angels Home Hotel is a superb little hotel, great value for money and in the best location, within walking distance of all the sights in the Sultanahmet Area, virtually next door to the Blue Mosque. It is safe to walk around this area even in the evening, which, as I was travelling alone with my 9 year old daugher was really important to me. Its ony a short walk to the tram which we found was a great way to get around Istanbul when you're legs get tired! The rooms there are lovely, decent size and really airy. Our room was spotless with more than adequate provisions, free bathroom bits, hairdryer (very important to us girls!),tea and coffee, sensibly priced minibar, tv with lots of international channels etc. The staff were fantastic, really friendly and full of loads of useful tips for making the most of our break. We will definatley return to this hotel next time in Istanbul and highly recommend it to any other first time visitor to Isanbul.

\"A great stay in a great little hotel

We stayed at the Angel's Home for a week at the end of February 2006. The hotel was more than we expected, it was warm, very clean and above all friendly. We took our 7 year old daughter, who loved the kittens and although they were kept behind the reception desk, we were never made to feel unwelcome when looking at them. Hakan and Okan (owners) were extrmely helpful giving advice on where to shop, eat and visit and how to get there. They assisted us in arranging an excusion and visit to a wonderful fish restaurant. Very close to the hotel is a street where there are a number of great restaurant / cafes / bars, we particularly liked the Albura and the Turquoise.

We did a lot of research for a place to stay in Istanbul and decided on angels home because of their great reviews here, their website and excellent nd prompt communication. The pick up service from the airport was excellent.(it was included the price of the hotel) The rooms are well decorated , enough big , full equipped bathroom with 5 star bathrobes..and the shower excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, tasty and plentiful.open buffet serving at the garde, but u may get it at the wonderfull panoramic view from the roof top.The staff were smiling and helpfull.. The hotel was very well placed for visiting all the major sites of Sultanahemet. i recommend the angels home nd definetely stay there if i have chance to go back.

The location of the hotel was very convenient. The roomservice, breakfast and hotelstaff where very good and friendly. From the terrace a good vieuw to the sea and blue mosque. We have booked this hotel(it has his own webpage) after looking on the internet.
