Desert Inn, Mojave

The value was great and it was a good location for our needs. It was clean and the owners were more than willing to help with our questions etc. Our son stayed here for a month, while working on a job and he also recommends it. They even gave him a special rate for staying so long.

Older establishment but well kept. Very friendly staff, very clean rooms,cold A/C. Lots of TV channels with free fast internet service. Managment also offers guest affordable laundry service which is a BIG plus for a busy person such as myself. I would defintley stay here again.

The accommodations were basic. It was a very quiet establishment. The locations is easily accessible and right off of the highway. The free wi-fi was a plus, but the room's outlets only had two-prongs so my lap top would not plug in. Fortunately the microwave was plugged into a surge protector that had the three prongs, but I had to do some searching. We were able to book two days in advance with not difficulty and were able to get a AAA discount for the stay. Parking was not a problem. The proprietors were flexible in their cleaning and towel change out services, as we wanted to sleep in. We chose the room with two queen beds. Very simple lay out. Two beds a center table and lamp. A desk and chair. A mini fridge with tiny freezer section. A color television, and a corner area to hang up 3-4 items and store luggage. The bathroom was small. It had a commode a sink with a mirror over it and only a shower, no tub. Shampoo and soap were provided but we brought our own. There was extra TP available so there were no worries. The A/C unit was super loud, and kind of forceful at night, but in a desert motel, a working a/c is a good a/c.

Clean rooms, excellent service from the staff and owner, a quiet and secure place to stay. Good location for outdoor recreational activities. I highly recommend this facility for its service and value

Super clean and fully stocked room, great service, friendly, helpful staff (or owners?). Has all the amenities you would expect from a more expensive motel but even for the community, it's priced in the low to moderate range. Other AAA motels were priced higher and two other motels in the immediate area post lower prices, but after walking past the places to look them over, I was confident that I'd made the right choice with Desert Inn. The bed was firm but comfortable, didn't sag or creak. Had a great sleep in it. Shower was clean and all the plumbing worked perfectly. Another small but to me, important feature; the towels were almost plush. You only need one to get dry after a shower. (There was no tub in the room, which I also prefer.) The town of Mojave is very small, has an airport in the middle and a train track at the edge of town. Noise level can be a problem for anyone, any place around there. While the motel is pretty far from the tracks, sound in the desert carries pretty far. I ran the fan at night to generate white noise and mask the outside stuff. (I also use earplugs when needed.)

I was recommended to stay at the Desert Inn by a friend. Very clean, quiet, and has all the amenities a 3 star hotel would have without paying that price.

All the comforts of home. Clean and quiet. the inn keepers are friendly and curtious. the rooms have cable,internet, nice furnishings, the list goes on and on! An Excellent stay! Joseph W.

The motel is located about two blocks off the main highway and train tracks which makes it a quieter location. Although it is an older motel property the owners definitely take pride in ownership and it shows. The rooms are clean and pretty roomy. Fridge, microwave, in room coffee, TV, internet access and toiletries are included. They offer a continental breakfast but we were not able to try it out. The bed was comfortable and towels were good. There could have been a little more shower water pressure for my liking but I understand the need for water conservation with low flow shower heads. We stayed three nights and each day the rooms were fresh and spotless upon our return. The location felt safe and is pet friendly. We would stay here again when in the area. The owner appreciates any feedback to make his establishment a better stay, a really important factor.

In the past year I have stayed almost the complete time on business at the airport. It's not the Ritz but I slept better here than at the Marriot in Burbank. The owners are great and provided everything I needed. The internet connection was more than enough to surf the web and complete my daily business activities. I would ddefinitely stay anytime I returned.
