The Spring Resort & Spa, Desert Hot Springs

where do i start? we asked for a room with 2 beds for me and a friend. they said sure. when we went inside the room, there was one bed and a fold out couch. hardly what i would call 2 beds without some sort of disclosure. we had to flip a coin for the bed. i lost. lol. there was a cockroach in my shower. they killed it will a wash cloth and then left it in my tub thinking they took it in the cloth. the woman said, 'well it is the desert." well, i live in nyc so i know roaches. doesn't mean i want them in my shower. ther was a chair in the smoking section with metal nails, yes NAILS plural, sticking out of it. wtf is that about? the jets in the one tub that had them, was so too pressurized. it hurt me, literally. unacceptable really. when we asked for good food in the area, the woman said she was new to the area and left it at that. she suggested one mexican spot and that's it. so much for options... they told us to smoke in the smoking section, outside, of which they gave us a problem for when we checked out claiming we bothered other tenants. in closing, i would never come back here, and i would definitely would try another spa instead of this one!

I love this place! Very relaxing and a great getaway. The services are wonderful. I have had many a great massage there. It is a very mellow place. I have learned to like Desert Hot Springs. Go and check it out.

I've been coming to Desert Hot Springs for 20+ years and have stayed at a number of spas and I must say that The Spring stands apart from them all. It has everything I'm looking for in a spa - a staff that makes you feel welcome and cared for; immaculate grounds that inspire a sense of peace and tranquility; restorative spa services designed to meet any need; a cleansing steam suana with eucalyptus - all this together with a spectacular view of the San Jacinto Mountain right from the naturally hot mineral water jacuzzi. Did I mention the most comfortable beds you'll find anywhere? If you are looking for a quality and quiet place to relax, rejuvenate and recharge this is it!

Terrible experience at the end of a nice weekend. We were confirmed one price and upon check out charged another. (Almost double). We had the conformation and price in writing from an email conformation. We were told that an employee made a mistake and that we would have to pay for her mistake. No apology and a nasty tone...and this was from the owner. We had stayed three nights, paid for a massage, bought robes, lotions and other pricey products from the hotel over the three days. After upsetting my wife and the sun going down we just wanted to get out of there. Finally agreed to split the difference just so we could leave. Don�t know what they were pulling here but I would not trust the owner. Nasty experience and I would not recommend them (The massage was overpriced and weak as well).Be warned!

Absolutely the most relaxing vacation I have taken in the most beautiful place. The Spring is like stepping into another world from the moment you enter. The staff are all wonderful, it is beautifuly decorated, prinstinely clean and well cared for in every aspect. The rooms have double french doors so it feels like your incredibly comfortable bed is outside. The beds are amazing! Beautiful fluffy towels everywhere. The grounds are beautiful. I can't say enough. I highly reccommend! The spa treatments are the best I've had. We tried 3 different therapists and they were all great. Great treatments too. I can't wait to get back!
