Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

We stayed at this hotel three times using our timeshare allocation. The first time was when it was new; the one-bedroom suite was so-so for the hotel's class, no cable or satellite TV or even Vision Four, no internet access, the restaurant was not operational, some facilities were not available and the service was lacking. The second time was a more pleasant experience; the two-bedroom suite was nice despite no TV addons and internet access, the restaurant was operational, all facilities were available and the service was better. The third time was good overall because the service improved. Thumbs up for the hotel's location. It's linked to a shopping center and an MRT station and within walking distance of other major dining, entertainment and shopping places in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The swimming pool also gets plus points for its size, features and maintenance. Thumbs down for MiTV and no internet access.

I like that place because the room is comfortable, the apartment was big. I also like the hotel's swimming pool. It is really large and I enjoy my swim very much.

I had earlier been given good recommendations on this hotel, so I was looking forward to my visit. The best thing about the hotel is its location - right in the middle of the Bukit Bintang area, with plenty to choice of food, shopping and entertainment even within the Times Square complex. The hotel itself was disappointing. NEVER, NEVER GO TO THE 10TH AVENUE FOOD MALL for meals. They are totally ripe OFF. Checked in late at about 5.30 pm, but room still not ready. Worst of all, we were confirmed of a �Superior room� but end up with a Deluxe room where it �s more than we budgeted. Room carpet was dirty, hot water wasn't working after several complaints. The service is terrible. I needed to ring the housekeeping 5-7 times to get a towel! The men working there aren't well trained. They think that face towels are for VIPs only! Our stay there was dreadful! I have to run several times to the reception to have our room card replace because every times we inserted it to the lift, it will tell you we are entering a restricted level / floor. And it take more than 10 minutes to get up to our room. The place is hard to be seen and the service is very bad!!! It is a question mark in how did this type of organisations gets a 5 star rating for the hotel!!!! They have only few Food & Beverage outlets and they are rated 5 star which is ridiculous and what make it worse is the service provided by the staff!! They do not smile and they are not alert on the needs of the customer and often I have to waived and called out to the staff to order my food & drinks, clear my dirty dishes and topping up my iced water and have to wait nearly 1/2 hours for my bill to be presented!!! This is totally unacceptable as when all this happen, there is not even one manager to come forwards to appologies!!! I would not go back to this place even in a million years!!! Bad management system!!!!!! My advise, with this kind of rate, one can get a better hotel within the Bukit Bintang area. At least you don't face those un-friendly staff who is selling their service.

I love the spacious modern equipped suites. And the location. Service personnel were generally pleasant. Food's not too bad at the Big Apple. But just one complaint : my newspapers were not sent to me...

I've went to KL recently with my girlfriend. Everything was fantastic there. The staff there were friendly and helpful, the security guards were real nice. And the room was punctually ready. We have nothing more to fuss about their services and the environment. The room that we had was a standard studio suite, good enough. We had a safe, a mini fridge, a BIG tv, mitv and a kitchenette. The bedsheets and blankets were so clean. And the sight of the bathroom really blew us away, its sooo grand! A bathtub, 2 sinks with mirrors. Moreover, their staff would come to tidy up the room everyday, very good room servce, and we don't mind tipping them, coz they did everything so nicely for us.The breakfast buffet have a huge variety, you can feast on on their local delicacies or even have cereals with milk and tons of fruit, and others. And the hi-fi set rocks, you can purhcase vcds or cds from the local shopping centres at cheap rates and you can play it in them. The view from the room was also breathtaking too. Berjaya Times Square shopping centre was terrific, they have 7-eleven, various fast food outlets, restaurants, starbucks, food court and TONS of shops for you to shop till you drop, moreover, nearby the hotel, there's plenty of shopping malls like sungei wang plaza, lot 10 and many more!!!!!!! My girlfriend and I really miss there a lot, and we hope to go there again (=

There was nothing I disliked about this place. My stay was truely wonderful. I had an excellent view from my room and the staff were exceptionally helpful.

IT IS FIRST OF ALL IN THE HEART OF THR CENTER YOU DONT NEED TO GO ANYWHERE FOR SHOPPING EVERYTHING IS THERE UNDER ONE ROOF ME AND MY WIFE ARE READY TO GO THERE ANYTIME I HAVE RECOMMENDED DOZENS OF MY FRIENDS TO GO THERE AND EXPERIENCE THEMSELVES THAT IT IS WORTH STAYING THANK YOU BERJAYA FOR MAKING MY STAY SO PLEASANT

The rooms are great, view is nice, location is good. Price would have been justified if the service is very much better. On one of the nights we were there, the power tripped in our suite. My elderly parents (who were the only ones in the room at that time..the rest of us had gone out shopping!) had to wait for one and a half hours, in the dark with no air con, for someone to come up! Even then, it was after they had called the reception at least 3 times! Other than that, everything else was pretty alright.
