Found Heaven
By Moncie, 3/1/09
This has to be the most beautiful hotel i've ever stayed in. Everyone was so wonderful and welcoming. Its a magical pampering experience. The hotels restaurant is outstanding. Dinner was awesome and breakfast was just the pefect start to the day. I loved the downtown view. Everything was perfect. I really suggest staying here. I promise you will not regret it. I just left today and i'm already planning my next trip there.

Outstanding Hotel & Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/28/09
I review hotels for a living and Hotel ICON is one of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The service is great, the staff is friendly, and the hotel is charming. VOICE restaurant and lounge was a special treat. Would stay there again, would recommend it to friends and family.

Under Construction
By ereitag, 5/19/08
My Husband and I went to this hotel in March 2008 to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversay. Well First of all the building was under serious construction and we were not warned about it. The front lobby was closed and they made the entrance in this little closet in the back. My husband is in a wheelchair and he was very uncomfortable trying to get in and out. We felt trapped because we could not sit in the main lobby or nothing like that and we always sit in the hotel lobby and talk or read the paper. On that weekend we could only stay in our room. The staff and their service was excellent, however the lady that did our bath butler made the water scorching hot even though she saw us sitting in the room waiting for it. Our couples massage (deep tissue) was light tissue and it should not be called a spa. After you finish it's up and out. The london cab was nice and the Red Cat Jazz Cafe across the street was cool. The hotel was way to expensive with half of it closed. We will probably never stay there again.

Can I move in?
By Jessica, 5/29/07
My husband and I spent our five year wedding anniversary at the Hotel Icon. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. They took us to dinner in the London cab and even recommended not only the restaurant, but specific menu items that they had tried. The Bath Butler was definitely something I will be repeating. I may even call and beg for what the brands and products are they use, because the smell was unreal. Beautiful room, beautiful view, we will be going there every anniversary and probably for other special occasions, as well!

This was amazing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/26/07
I cannot believe how outstanding my stay was. I never wanted to leave. The service, quality, cleanliness was all so perfect. I felt like I was spoiled as soon as I arrived.

I would go back again...
By Caressa, 10/4/06
The service was top notch, especially the front desk/reservations. They accommodated our requests and quickly resolved any minor details that we had. The room with the peek a boo jaccuzzi was impeccable! The room's decor is elegant. Everybody made us feel very welcome. The only thing(s) that went wrong is the housekeeping left an empty water bottle in our room after they finished and we got charged for drinks from the refrigerator, just because we were looking through it. But these items were quickly resolved, no questions asked. I'd definitely go back again!

Felt like I was in Gotham City
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/06
The folks at this hotel are very nice but it certainly isn't a 5 star experience. First, the hotel is very very dark everywhere... from the rooms to the lobby. Attention to detail in decor was very good. Too bad you can hardly see it. The food and wine is very good but very expensive. An appetizer and glass of wine after my meeting ran $30. The hotel has a car available to take you around the city center but my driver got lost one of the two days I spent there. On the plus side their french fries are almost worth the $250 per night it cost to stay there.

Business Trip - Excellent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/21/06
The tub had jet spa features but was slightly dirty. However, everything else was great. TV was nice. The pillows were amazingly comfortable and the comforter was a down comforter, which is the turning point for me. This was an amazing expierence and I reccomend you try this hotel out. I was there for only one night for business and it was a great one night. Location was excellent as well. I picked up a cigar about 2 blocks away and smoked it about 1 block away.

The Best In Houston
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/1/06
Beautiful and unique decor, wonderful service. The gym is open 24 hours, and each machine has its own television with headset. You MUST try the Bath Butler--a concierge comes to your room and makes the most awesome bath of your life. I usually don't go in for that kind of thing, but I'm glad we did! The Jaccuzzi tubs are big enough for three people. Stayed in the junior suite on the 12th floor at the corner of Main and Congress. Nice view, but the party noise from the street is considerable on a weekend night. If you're rich, this is a great place to sleep off the Houston downtown nightlife instead of driving home. We're going to return for our anniversary.
