All the bedrooms open directly into the garden, have tea and coffee facilities, English/French TV.Private seating area outside each room with tables and chairs for those seeking privacy.Although we are only 5 minutes on foot to the town centre we are in a very quiet setting ideal for peaceful nights and relaxation.Chemin Noir is an ancient Cathar trail to Brenac and onwards to Puivert with its Cathar castle, museum and swimming lake.Quillan is situated in the high valley of the Aude with the river running through the centre of the town.� Quillan is well served by bars and restaurants throughout the year, has its own supermarket, banks, bakers, newsagents etc. and a market held every Wednesday and Saturday all year round. Throughout the summer months there is nightly entertainment in the squares in the town centre, including a international folk festival, show bands/cabarat, jazz and guitar festival. The town fete in August, has a large fun fare and a beef roast meal served under the trees in the centre of town There is an evening market and music every Thursday evening during July sand August and many other events for all age groups and familiesThe Tour de France comes through the centre of town every other year, and an international cycling criterium race around the narrow streets in the centre of town takes place every August during the town fete.The area is famous for Cathar castles, many only a short drive away, or accessible on foot.Carcassone mediaeval city is a World Heritage siteand famous for his Knights Templar history.Rennes le Chateau just 20 minutes drive away and is famous for the Da Vince Code book of Dan Brown and headquarters of the Knights Templar.
